Found Deceased WY - Aubree Corona, 28, did not return to campsite, Sublette County, 13 Jul 2019

Not really still haven't found her
I’m so sorry! If she got lost, the truck stuck or ran out of gas, it could take a bit to find her. I think it’s so odd about nobody going to look for her, especially her bf. If he couldn’t be concerned enough about her to go looking, you’d think he’d at least want to look for his truck. I know this is frustrating and scary for y’all. I can’t even begin to imagine. Just hold on to the hope that she’ll be found safe and sound. There’s always hope. Thank you for being here and updating us. Many prayers for you and your family!

To be fair, the bf would probably have a hard time "going looking" for Aubree since she had his truck. I sure hope she is found soon.

Thank you, Corona81, for all the info. I'm so sorry this is happening to your sister and your family. Everyone here is sincerely interested in finding your sister, even if the questions sometimes seem not so nice. This group as a whole has seen thousands of missing persons cases, and unfortunately, these kinds of prying questions really are the key to finding someone who's missing. Please understand that here on WebSleuths these types of questions are not in any way intended to hurt anyone or be judgemental, but rather to help determine the missing person's state of mind and intentions, which will hopefully lead to finding them.

Honestly, the culture here in this group is that every. single. missing. person. is someone worth finding. Your sister appears to be a great girl and obviously loved. I'm praying for her safe return.

I'm praying for Aubree as well. I have hope that recent events in her life became a bit much and she is having a time-out to come back and face them.

Any updates?
How did the BF get home? Did he have another vehicle? Were they camping with anyone else? Did the kids see or hear anything?

They suspended the search. Search and Rescue did a grid search on the area and found no leads, neither Aubree or her vehicle were spotted. Tons of people saw her, but they all were before she sent the message saying she was lost and got directions.

Thanks for the info! My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Do you know why the search was suspended? Thanks!

AnOriginal, so sorry about Aubree. So, as far as you know, the loggers were the last to see her?

They haven't found any leads.no traces of the vehicle or of her. The people who reported having seen her saw her before she sent her last text. The loggers who gave her directions confirmed what directions they gave her, there's just no trace of her.

I'm not up there. My son is her nephew, her and I were close when I was still with his dad, but then she moved to Wyoming and haven't talked much since.
Ok... so the loggers did see her that day alive and well. I was beginning to question the BFs story. I am really hoping she just needed time away from life and will get in touch soon.

That's what I can piece together. Her brothers have been up driving around, the posted a map on the story showing where they had looked. It just doesn't make sense does it?

RSBM for focus.

They were camping with friends. I’m not sure how many were there in total or who had what vehicles. I’d assumed that there were other cars. Corona81 told us that none of the friends or bf went looking for her. It’s in Corona’s posts on this thread: #15 & #37.

No updates - darn. We have two people familiar with our Missing Person. It’s good to get info from them. Thank you both.

Too much time gone by without a sighting. Gosh I hope she’s just taking a break somewhere. Please please let her be safe.

Thanks for the updates from everyone. I don't think the actual post from the sheriff's page has yet been posted so I thought I'd link it. It has a lot of details (though AnOriginalCreation provided a nice summary).

Noticed several people posted and wondered why the search was stopped. How is it possible for a woman and a truck to completely disappear? Wreck?

Asking for drone help seems like a great idea.

Where are you AC?

The drones are a fantastic idea! I hope the family has suggested this. I asked earlier about a wreck and was told they were searching the route, but since she was previously lost, maybe she got lost on a different route? JMO

So they were not at an actual camp? Just a campsite? How long had they been camping for and where do they normally live, is she familiar with this area?

Just trying to figure things out cause I thought when I read camp that she had been staying at or working at some sort of a summer camp but now see it looks like they were just camping at a campsite? I feel like she went off the road and they need to find the truck asap!

(Pinedale, Wyo –July 17th, 2019) The official Search and Rescue mission has been suspended in the search for Aubree Corona, who was been missing since Saturday.

This morning, search and rescue operations on the Sublette County and Fremont County side of Union Pass have been suspended for missing Aubree Corona after the search yielded no leads. Search operations began Monday for Miss Corona who has been missing since Saturday afternoon when she didn’t arrive back to camp with friends as planned.

During the search operations, Tip Top Search and Rescue members as well as the contract helicopter were deployed to the Union Pass area in an extensive search for Miss Corona. Fremont County Search and Rescue deployed a similar response on their side of the pass in a coordinated search effort. An extensive grid search of the entire area between Green River Lakes and Dubois Wyoming were conducted over the last two days. As of Tuesday evening, the search of the entire area resulted in no signs of Miss Corona or the vehicle she was reported to be in.

The last reported contact from Miss Corona was mid-afternoon on Saturday where she made contact with her friends via text message. She reportedly informed them that she was lost on the wrong side of Union Pass and received directions from a logger in the area. Sublette County Sheriffs Office was able to contact the logger and confirm his contact with Miss Corona. Miss Corona stated in her text that she was getting fuel and food and headed back to Sublette County. During the course of the last few days we received numerous tips from citizens who had seen her driving the vehicle on Saturday in the Union pass area. However, these sightings were early afternoon on Saturday and before her last text message to her friend’s at camp.

We have received an overwhelming response of volunteers willing to come help search. These offers are very appreciated. However, we encourage people not to self-deploy in these situations as they can interfere with the detailed grid search and can result in secondary searches for those who aren’t familiar with the area and terrain. We want to thank those who gave us valuable information to assist in the search.

Miss Corona is still listed as a missing person. If you have any information about her whereabouts please contact the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office 307-367-4378

TY for posting the Sublette County SO's update, @Knox! As I read that update, I saw that Aubree said she was going to get fuel and food before heading back to camp. I'm guessing that might have been at Dubois. Originally, I thought she turned around to go back to camp right after getting the directions. But, once she was in town, maybe she decided not to take the NF roads all the way back--she had already gotten lost, and she had gotten stuck. Maybe she decided to go back the way google suggested:

Google Maps

Maybe that's why she hasn't been found--instead of being on NF roads, she is on one of the routes google suggested. I sure hope she can be found quickly, and reunited with her loved ones!

ETA: I used the Boy Scout Camp at New Fork because it gave google maps an easier location than "somewhere around the lake."

It seems pretty quick to call off searches, no? Could she have been found or could they suspect foul play or maybe she reached out and asked to not be looked for? Did we lose Corona, too? I’m the most directionally challenged person ever and thinking about her being lost gives me anxiety. Is there no OnStar in that model of avalanche?

<modsnip - posting unverified inside info>
Is there an APB out on the vehicle, in case she's not still up the canyon?
What are her kids saying (if anything) about what happened.
How did the BF get down the canyon?
Family says there was a helicopter fly over preformed, why aren't the reports of that included in the article about the search being suspended.
The article shows where they searched, did they search off the side of those roads as well?
I feel like there are more questions than answers at this point.
