Found Deceased WY - Aubree Corona, 28, did not return to campsite, Sublette County, 13 Jul 2019

It is just an observation but if it is true that Aubree had to go for some sort of test related to her recent arrest why would she go to Pinedale? Pinedale is in Sublette County but her arrest occurred in Sweetwater County (same county she lives in). I would think she would have had to go all the way back to Sweetwater County which is quite a bit further south.

This is throwing me off because it doesn't seem right unless Aubree has other offenses or a probation out of Sublette County that has nothing to do with the June arrest. It is not as if probation or bail monitors give you a heads up on a test so that you can make arrangements to take it in another county - on a Saturday no less.

This one feels so off. The silence is deafening and TBH I have been checking regularly for a donation site to pop up bc of the shady vibes. Cops silent, bf is just like “whatevs” about his dirt bike and truck, <modsnip - commenting on family FB> It’s weird. All my own speculation.

This is total speculation because I don’t know how this works in her state, but I know in some places, the person calls every day to find out if they have to do a UA that day or not so it’s random. I’m assuming if she was out on bail or on probation from another charge in the past, she would have had to get permission to leave the city/county.

So, possibly she had asked for permission and the permission was granted with the condition that she continue to call in about the drug test, and arrangements were made that if she had to do the test, she’d go to the city where she went? Maybe it was the closest to the campground with the capability?

This investigation is just making me mad because it seems like they’re not putting any effort into it because she’s been charged with a crime, so they don’t feel like she’s worthy of being found, or else they are assuming she ran away because she was in trouble. I hope that’s not the case.

Rereading this: it’s really long. I’m sorry but so much to say when clear thinking in the am.

I don’t think they stopped searching bc of her pending charges. She probably would not have run away from an open container charge. If she had killed someone while driving intoxicated, maybe. But from all appearances, she was checking in, as required. Doing what she was supposed to be doing to comply with her release.

The map showed a HUGE area that had been searched. They stopped bc they had searched and found nothing. No truck. No accident. Hopefully they missed her bc they just missed locating her in the grid. And she can still be found.
If she ran off the road, there should have been visible tracks through the brush. If she ran out of gas, she’s be at the side of some road or even a logging trail.

Her cell is going straight to voice mail. With OnStar probably being totally unplugged, cell tower pings are a real hope of locating her. But with this much time, I would have thought the location of the triangle area of cell tower pings should have been received from the cell company. And passed on to authorities. And the area searched.

If she stopped somewhere, she could have dropped her cell phone and not realized it. But it’s on. Going to voice mail. And pinging. There are ways to find a lost phone. It’ll alert the searcher to a very small area of search. I’ve located a lost phone twice with the find my phone feature. But was that feature on her phone enabled? I’m not even sure that all phones have that feature.

So what was LE left with? Nothing that I can figure out. Infrared thermal search in the very beginning. Unless she’s in a cave or under a rocky ledge where the waves or whatever are used, thermal search cannot detect her warmth and report it back to the instrument. So really, what can they do?

IMO LE should not have discouraged locals from searching with horses, atv or dirt bikes. This is their back yard. Traveling in small groups with satellite locators in case of emergencies so they don’t get lost and firearms for grizzly bear protection, they might have found her. Hopefully the locals and her family are still searching.

So this should be repeated: if you’re lost, hug a tree. I suppose the same is true for stay with your vehicle unless you can crawl away to an open area where you are visible.
I see people walking along a long deserted stretch of road after leaving what probably is their vehicle a distance back.
I’m just scared she was abducted and the truck is hundreds of miles away.

Most people, I think, do not have an emergency bag in their vehicle. I suppose in a city it’s not as important. But out there? I’m not victim blaming her. Not at all. Hopefully her boyfriend had some emergency items in the truck. If they camp, they think along those lines. If she could have gotten to them, it just may be her extra chance of making it. This long. Until searchers reach her.

I have learned from this. Check my OnStar. Review the contents of my emergency bag. Rotate contents as needed. Make sure my cell has locate enabled and that my family knows passwords/access to all my electronic equipment. It’s not all synced. Maybe I’ll do that, too.

Worrying about big brother is less of a threat than missing without a trace. I’ve rethought that big brother concern.
God give her strength, patience and continued hope of being found. God give all her searchers the same. There still is time.

I’m sorry this is so long. I’m hoping to reach out to all with not only thoughts and prayers about Aubree and her safe return, but all of us who probably know basic safety vehicle and travel tips but somehow just let them slide. I’ve cleaned out the back of my vehicle, taken the bag in to update it and don’t put it back. Forgot.
We’re all part of humanity. And need to watch out for each other the best we can. Share what we think is important.

I’m frustrated that I can’t be on the ground searching for her.

I’m sorry this is so long.

Respectfully snipped for commentary focus.
I can think of multiple cases where a victim went off road, there was a thorough search, and they didn't find them for ages. Lisa Harvey comes to mind.
I think off road, yet to be found is a strong possibility.
Re: Hug a tree - great call out! However, it goes against human instinct time and time again. I'll also add that if you are able, climb a tree! See where you are if that helps; get perspective. Finally, I wish every kid growing up was a boy/girl scout and learned the basics of outdoor navigation like I did. (How to leave and follow a trail; navigate to the sun or moon). It seems those skills have been left behind thinking gps is infallible; it's not.

Amateur opinion and speculation

Never any need to apologize for long posts... especially when they’re good ones. I’m right there with you- my partner and I have a “go bag” for instances like these as well- mostly because were semi-paranoid campers but it helps us feel safe for situations like aubree is in. We can only hope she had some supplies, even if just water or a way to drink found water. I so hope that some of the locals ignored LEs wishes and are searching (safely!!) anyways.

Corona81, thank you for being here and posting.
We have some very talented and caring people here who will do their best to come up with ideas to help find your sister.

My (amateur) specialty is tracking using predictive modeling methods and aerial mapping. Can someone please tell me her last known coordinate, and her destination?

Fellow sleuther corrected me several posts back. Coming back from but going to. No link in that post either.
It’s against TOS to speculate on information not sourced from LE or MSM. We know Aubree had a first offense drug charge. We do not know she left camp for reasons connected to that charge.

Aubree was arrested on June 2, 2019, for DWUI - Child passenger and 2. Consumption/possession of opened alcoholic beverage by operator of vehicle.

Her mugshot. Are those meth sores? MOO.

ETA: Also arrested for Unlawful Possession – Plant Form < 3 Ounces – 1st Offense on the same date according to Sweetwater County Arrest Reports for June 3

Thinking the same thing and wonder if errand was either pick up more or delivery.

  • #151
I agree and even if she was using meth- it doesnt matter.. Everyone makes mistakes esp when young. I do hope she is found safe.

Ugh, yeah. Didn't even think of it that way. Coupled with the BF seeming to not think it important to report her missing......

Yes, that was my other thought... Why isn't bf more concerned or at least acting like he is? When told to contact LE by her family, concerning her missing, he chooses not too? Who does that?

This thread is going to get shut down for violating TOS. WS is different from other online forums because information must come from LE or MSM or verified insiders. We have no verified insiders on this case, no new word from LE & no MSM reporting. It is not in the best interest of this missing woman to get this thread closed. Since there is nothing new from LE or SAR, it is my hope that family can get MSM involved, to pressure LE to reach out to the public for tips/leads.

People who are new to WS are often unaware of the TOS.

He did talk to sheriff and they couldnt do anything at the time because he had recieved text messages from her.. he was at the sheriffs office from 12 noon until 8:30 that night.. no cell service in camp and no one there knew she was missing!
Welcome to WS, Misssophia1. I’m guessing you know Aubree’s BF? If so, please consider becoming a WS verified insider, so we can discuss the information you provide. Otherwise it is deemed “rumor” & we can’t consider. Another recommendation is to support BF in reaching out to MSM to tell his side of the story. It could help dispel false info & put pressure on LE to find Aubree. The link to become an insider is just a few posts upstream.

The bf was at the sheriffs station from 12 noon until 8:30 pm.. and sheriff told him couldnt file missing persons report because he had recieved texts from her around 3

They have Amber Alerts, Silver Alerts why can’t LE get it through their heads when someone comes to report a missing adult person jump on it right away.
Use “Adult Alert” for info on missing person to spread the news.
