Found Deceased WY - Aubree Corona, 28, did not return to campsite, Sublette County, 13 Jul 2019

I am just spitballing at this point but I wonder if the loggers helped her move the motorcycle out of the truck? Or she thought??? I mean the loggers could have just purely given her advice on where to go but it comes off very creepy.
According to previous posts I read, She met the loggers on Sat. afternoon, before she sent a text stating that.
LE verified with the loggers. My guess is if LE talked to the loggers, and they helped her unload the bike, they would have told LE that?
A few other thoughts I have after reading this entire thread...
Someone asked why they don't have an adult alert, similar to an amber alert? My thought is that of they did that, LE would be busy 24/7 issuing those alerts when in reality, someone just decided to spend a few extra days at the beach. I think the urgency of those alerts would fade fast. Think of it like car alarms. They go off in Mall parking lots so often now that most people don't even look when they do go off.

I would think that if there was any way to activate the Onstar, or to track her phone, LE would have tried that before searching.
Helicopters are not cheap to run, and it takes a long time to do a grid search.

i’m going to assume that when they put the dirt bike into the back of the truck they used a ramp (or a jimmy rig ramp), and then loaded the ramp in the bed of the truck to be used when they take the bike off.

to take it off, it depends on how big the bike is. imo rolling off a 250 is much different than a 450. the truck is standard height avalanche it’s not that far off the ground.

i just am not getting why one wouldn’t take the bike out when you’re about to embark on a 6+ hr drive to an appointment in town just to then leave the dirt bike unattended while you go inside, leaving it open to being stolen. we don’t know the confirmed nature of this errand so i’m just assuming it’s some type of appointment... and why bother going camping at all if you have to just turn around for this errand.

the answer can be as simple as “because i wanted to” but it strikes me as unusual.
Good point.
It may have been some type of appointment, however it was Sat afternoon. I'd think that would rule out a Dr's appointment.

Here is a google map of New Fork Lake, WY, and Union Pass, WY. I only marked Dubois, WY because LE said she was on the Dubois side of Union Pass - LE never said she was in Dubois.

Google Maps

It takes almost three hours of driving to get from New Fork Lakes to Union Pass. If it was not her intention to get to Union Pass, I don't know why she didn't realize that she was on the wrong road. Also, if Union Pass was not her destination, what was her original destination? Did she have a cell phone? Is there reception in that area of Wyoming? How does LE know that she made it to the Dubois side of Union Pass? Did her friends have other vehicles? Did they call LE from the campsite, or did they have to drive somewhere to report her missing?
Her destination was Pinedale. She was unfamiliar with the area and took a wrong turn. She did have a cell phone but service in that area is spotty at best. She was seen in Dubois and that information has been verified by LE. There was a large group of the boyfriend's family/friends at the campsite along with multiple vehicles and SUVs. Aubree's brother reported her missing to the Sublette Co. Sheriff's office Saturday July 13, 2019 in the early evening. Not the BF.

To be fair, the bf would probably have a hard time "going looking" for Aubree since she had his truck. I sure hope she is found soon.

Thank you, Corona81, for all the info. I'm so sorry this is happening to your sister and your family. Everyone here is sincerely interested in finding your sister, even if the questions sometimes seem not so nice. This group as a whole has seen thousands of missing persons cases, and unfortunately, these kinds of prying questions really are the key to finding someone who's missing. Please understand that here on WebSleuths these types of questions are not in any way intended to hurt anyone or be judgemental, but rather to help determine the missing person's state of mind and intentions, which will hopefully lead to finding them.

Honestly, the culture here in this group is that every. single. missing. person. is someone worth finding. Your sister appears to be a great girl and obviously loved. I'm praying for her safe return.

There where multiple vehicles at the campsite including ATVs. BF was by no means left without transportation. As was posted earlier he was sitting in front of the sheriff's office for 5.5 hours without moving-from 3:00pm until 8:30 pm with his dad.

Did she actually keep the appt take and pass the breathalyzer? Or did she confirm she was on her way back via txt?
No she did not make her appointment for her breathalyzer. She sent a text to BF around 3:00 that she was on the Dubois side of the mountain and was putting gas in the truck, getting a map and heading back.

Phone was pinged on Monday July 15th. Bounced off multiple non-provider tower and showed up pinging in 2 different states. Therefore, no viable information

Coming back from Dubois, if she was attempting to through the mountains rather than around (US 26/287 to US 191 and all the way to Pinedale) she would have to go through Dunoir. If that is the case then she could have seen and followed 532 (thinking it was 352 - which is the initial wrong turn road that put her up towards Dubois in the first place) up in the Dunoir area rather than take 263 to 600 and stay with that until reaching 352. The only thing is that 532, after winding and winding around, will eventually come back to US 26/287.

There is a location on 600 where it appears (at least on Google Maps) to be labeled for two different roads. The road she wanted to stay with heads west but the other would head north and become 670 - the roads up there connect with 534 and to 533 (which starts up off 532 near Dunoir)

Further down at a hairpin turn there is a road that runs straight - it goes to Kinky Creek Divide Airport (dirt) - and she needed to follow the hairpin turn.

Here is a map that has directions shown (to highlight the road) between the two points and the midpoint labeled.
Google Maps

It is at both end points and the midpoint where she could have made a wrong turn easily or mistakenly. Between those points there are no forks in the road where one could easily get on the wrong road - you would have to slow and make turns. From a search standpoint the "wrong turn" roads and their branches need to be looked at. 532 and 533 (near Dunoir) and 670 (near the midpoint) appear to be the best candidates for a vehicle going off the road.

On which day?
The BF sat in a truck front of the sheriff's office on Saturday July 13th, the day Aubree went missing, from 3:00 pm -8:30 pm per LE

  • #272
In that case, if a vehicle were to tragically enter water, wouldn't that also short circuit the fuse, rendering OnStar useless? Also, a violent crash that would disconnect the wiring? Or is there something here I'm missing?

I'm still thinking of Aubree often and hoping for a good outcome.
Again, per conversation with OnStar, the truck was equipped with OnStar, at some point activated, and is now disabled. No date of being disabled available.

Why? What was he doing? This was before she was reported missing?
Uncertain as to reason BF chose to sit in front of the sheriff's office on camera for 5 1/2 hours. There was no cell phone service at campsite but BF could have been anywhere in Pinedale and received cell service. LE spoke to BF while he sat in front of sheriff's office. Uncertain of conversation between BF and LE. BF did not report Aubree missing it was her brother who reported her missing during the early evening on Saturday July 13th.

Aubree was heading to Pinedale to do her court ordered breathalyzer and pick up ice for camp. Apparently, she took the wrong road which took her eventually up and over Union Pass. There were reported sightings of the truck with the motorcycle near Green River Lakes, so she may have made multiple wrong turns. She was verified by LE to have seen in 2 different locations in Dubois.

According to LE Aubree did enlist the assistance of a logger, uncertain if she was stuck/asking for assistance due to being lost, but did not unload motorcycle. Driver had Aubree follow him down Union Pass Road, which included multiple hairpin turns, which according to the logging truck driver, she navigated without problem. However, upon reaching the highway logging truck driver looked back and Aubree and the truck were no longer behind him. He contacted LE which checked the area and did not see her. But she was later identified as being in Dubois by 2 businesses.

BF refuses to report it stole. Even though topic has been brought up several times. Not sure why.

So I'm confused.

Saturday the 13th at 3:00 pm the BF got a text that she was headed back to camp after being lost, but also at the same time BF was on front of the police station, and stayed there for 5.5 hours?

And then the logger was leading her down the mountain and she disappeared? So was she seen in Dubois at the same time, or was that earlier?

Guuuuurl I don’t even know anymore.

I’ve tried to put together a timeline in my head but there are too many questions that pop up.
