Found Deceased WY- Averin Scott, 21, Jackson, Teton County, 3 July 2019

The Teton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Averin Scott, a 21-year-old Native American male. He was last seen Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m. in the area of S Highway 89, just north of Horse Creek (by the KOA campsite) near the river. Averin was last seen wearing a gray jacket and black pants. He is 5’7″, approx 150-160 lbs, long black hair. Search and Rescue has been paged to help find him. If you have seen Averin or have any information, please contact dispatch at 307-733-2331.

TY for all that information, @PommyMommy. It is always so sad to read, "search operations were ramping down" that you quoted from the July 7, 2019 article. I know that there are not unlimited funds for every search operation, but it is sad to read.

Very sad, but good article. I hated to read that his brother passed at 5 years old. I can't imagine this family's pain.

This seems to describe the area he may have gone in the water:

Their rental house on South Highway 89 sits just above the Snake River. There isn’t a direct trail from the house down to the river, but it looked as if someone had scooted down the hill through the tall brush, Cisco said.

The hill behind the home where Shandy Cisco and Averin Scott live is steep with heavy brush. It’s not where the two access the river to go fishing, Cisco said.
