In an interview with TV’s “Fox & Friends” on Monday, Bethune said someone tagged her in a social media post calling on people who were in the national park Aug. 27 to check through their videos and photos to try to help investigators searching for Petito.

Wednesday: Requested SW re missing endangered person statute to search the hard drive that was found in the van.

SW noted that Gabby's phone has been off for 15 days (as of 9/15) so around 9/1 it was off.

Retired FBI agent: Brian Laundrie likely killed Gabby Petito in 'impulsive act'

A private investigator who retired from the FBI said the agents who searched Brian Laundrie’s home on Monday were likely looking for laptops or any devices connected to social media.

“He’s not a sophisticated criminal who’s been down this road before and knows how to run,” said Greg Rogers, the retired FBI agent. “That’s very difficult to do, so the chance of him reaching out for somebody, a good buddy or something like that, is pretty good.”

Rogers also said he “wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he’s harmed himself.”

The former agent said he believes Laundrie killed fiancée Gabby Petito. He said it was likely “a tragically impulsive act” and could turn out to be a fight that got out of hand.

While not confirmed with police, I do believe this was likely the spot where she was found. Investigators had this area locked down until approximately an hour and a half ago, and there are paint marks all around this spot, likely for measurements from a CSI team. @KUTV2News

“I can still hear her voice,” Hulls said in an exclusive interview with the Deseret News. “She wasn’t just a face on the milk carton, she was real to me.”

Hulls pictures the sobbing 22-year-old sitting in the back of the cruiser. She knows her mannerisms, just from the roughly hour-and-a half interaction.

“I was probably more candid with her than I should've been,” Hulls recalls, warning Petito that her and Laundrie’s relationship had the markings of a “toxic” one.

“I was imploring with her to reevaluate the relationship, asking her if she was happy in the relationship with him, and basically saying this was an opportunity for her to find another path, to make a change in her life,” she said.

“She had a lot of anxiety about being away from him, I honestly thought if anything was going to change it would be after they got home to Florida.”
