Police seek to locate missing University of Utah employee last seen leaving Evanston Saturday

Uinta County Law Enforcement Services asked for the public’s assistance locating a missing woman who was last seen departing Evanston on Saturday.

Leakae Roberts, 42, left Evanston at approximately 6:30 p.m. in a black 2017 Toyota Camry with license plate number F058BN.

Roberts is a staff member at the University of Utah in the Greater Salt Lake Area. She attended Brigham Young University in Idaho.

Evanston police said Leakae Roberts, a resident of Morgan, Utah, disappeared on Friday after driving her children, ages 7, 12 and 17, with family and hasn't been heard from since. She also left her cell phone. She emailed her employer at the University of Utah to ask for Monday off, though it wasn't clear from police information when she sent that email.
Evanston police said this is abnormal behavior for Roberts, who he said was recently divorced and had a short-term relationship in the summer but showed no indications of drug-related behavior or suicidal ideations.

Lt. Ken Pearson with the Evanston Police Department said that Roberts drove up to Evanston Saturday morning and arrived at her sister’s house at approximately 9:00 a.m. She and her two kids, ages seven and 12, were going to watch the Rich County homecoming football game.

After the game, Roberts and her children arrived back at her sister’s house at around 6:30 p.m. Robert’s sister went out of the house to run errands and told her that there was money for pizza on the counter. Robert’s sister said she was gone for approximately 30-45 minutes.

When Robert’s sister came home, she found that Roberts was gone, but her two children were still at the residence. Roberts also left her phone behind, Pearson said.

The kids were there by themselves then...did their mom tell them she was leaving to go somewhere, or were they asleep or something and not realize she was gone?

One article reports the 7 and 12 year olds were left at the sis's residence...

The other article reports there were THREE children left at the home...
7, 12, and 17 year olds...

Seems the 17 year old might be "aware" of his Mom's demeanor before she left...
Since he is nearing age of adulthood...

JMO...

I wonder where the recently divorced Ex lives...

and I wonder how amiable that divorce was...

and the break-up of the short summer relationship?

Just some thoughts...

If LKR was thinking of leaving on her own...

At least she knew that her three "at-home" kids were in a safe place with her sister...

Just more thoughts...

FYI...

The distance between the city in which LKR lives, Morgan, UT...
And Evanston, WY... Where her sis lives...

Is: 1 hour / 52.6 miles...

I searched for her name after seeing a link on another missing persons page and was glad to find a thread. This is puzzling and alarming. From the news article posted in the OP:

"Police are canvassing the area of her sister’s home and are searching backroads as well. Two members of Robert’s LDS Ward were taking a plane and flying it from Morgan to Evanston in an attempt to find her."

Since her car is missing too, hopefully at least that can be spotted by air?

IMO...

this is interesting...

LEAH KAE WESTON INTERVIEW

She was interviewed for the Cokesbury Bombings...

LKR was in fourth grade... But was absent that day...

And... Her brothers were at school the day of the bombings...

Probably has no bearing on this case...

But brings LKR to light as a real person...

Police officers and hunters scoured backcountry areas of southwestern Wyoming on Monday — the first day of deer season — searching for a Utah woman who was reported missing over the weekend during a trip to visit her sister in Evanston.
But no one came across any sign of 42-year-old Leakae Roberts, an executive assistant at the University of Utah’s School of Medicine, who was last seen in the small town near the Utah-Wyoming border Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Pearson said there were no signs of foul play, and it appears Pearson left without any kind of struggle in her black Toyota Camry. Police are asking people to watch for the car, a 2017 model with the Utah license plate F058BN, and to call their local law enforcement agency if they spot it.
Roberts’ sister called police at 11 a.m. Sunday when Roberts had not returned. Pearson said she did not tell her kids anything about where she might be going and left them with her cellphone.
"She doesn't have any modern electronics with her” that police could track, Pearson added. "We're kind of at a loss. … According to her sister, this is out of the norm for her."

It's like she doesn't exist. I can't find anything else on her except the one article. Hope she's found soon.
