You Know You're Addicted to the Case When:

You know you are addicted when you see someone's post and almost immediately you remember what their avatar/hat looks like and where they post the most!!!
Oh and you also speak of these fine folks here as if you really know them in the real world,lol, instead of the virtual world here. You are my friends ya know!!!:woohoo::great:

. . . when your favorite Christmas gift was a cable upgrade so you can watch the trial on InSession. . . It will be "the gift that keeps on giving!"

lol, the sweatsuit was thoughtful, too. :rolleyes:

I told my best friend yesterday that I was relaxing in a bubble bath, had a candle lit, and was listening to my laptop and she asked me if I was listening to music and I said "Nope, depositions"...lol :)

"Those obsessed with the Casey Anthony case, people with the time and commitment to blog incessantly about the proceedings and even make their presence known in the courtroom or try to make themselves part of the story may be exhibiting mental illness, some say."

lol, I guess Anthony Colarossi reads here, too? :floorlaugh:

I'm obsessed with Caylee...the rest of them don't deserve my attention. I have tunnel vision...focused on one thing only...hearing "GUILTY" read at the end of the trial. Then I'll be able to rest knowing that justice has been served.

Casey a celebrity...pooey...I think not.

You know you're addicted to this case when... a poor unsuspecting deputy comes into use the restroom and you spend 15 minutes questioning him on the smell of human decomposition. Yeah... I did that this evening!! I really hope he believed me when I told him I followed this case?

The secretary for the District Attorney's office came in the other day to put up some posters for a baseball tournament they are having and it took everything I had in me not to question her about if she knew about the Caylee Anthony case. She is lucky my boss was standing next to me or I would have asked! :floorlaugh: I had some really good questions for her!

Nana, so true. We should have a coffee clutch once a month in our respective areas. Central Florida :websleuther: here!

Anyone interested?.....send me a message

You are addicted to this case when you find yourself using examples from the trial in real life situations.

We have a situation here where it has been hard for me to trust "the powers that be" that are in control of things...and I thought of how HHJP is handling things and how some people have felt he is "siding" with JB and putting down JA. In the case of HHJP I can see what he is doing in the big picture and I trust him...and so then I began to apply it to my situation.

Now, for the REALLY addicted part...try and explain that one to someone not involved in the case.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
You know you are addicted when you yell at the screen or want to play replays for everyone...
like where HHJP yelled! I loved it...as a mom of many...it reminded me of some days here...
~~~~

or there was the hearing last week when I talking to JB and CA and that "expert" on decomposing testimonies.

Oh wow!!! I know he is talking about Joy Wray here.... but if he is talking about people like us here at Webslueths?? Reminds me of the older days when men would have women committed to mental hospitals if they simply talked back to a man and showed any sign of having an independent mind.

Why is it so bad for people to want to take an active role in what is going on in this world? Our courts are open to the public for this very reason. We, the people, have the rights to know how our judicial system is working or not working. It's people like this who think that us every day people should just sit back and take whatever happens... good or bad! Not me!! I will remain active... even if they call me crazy! :floorlaugh:

Oh my...I am the same way! Poor people we come in contact with lol.

My moms fiance is a Sargent in the PD, and he's got the "have you ever smelled a dead body before?" question. I'm so glad he knows I follow homicide cases, otherwise I would have been thrown in the loony bin long ago.

Unfortunately, he will only state "yes", and will not elaborate on any of my other questions. I can't say I blame him.

I know I am addicted because a doctor just called me about having a biopsy
on April 15th. All I could think about was what I would miss regarding
this case!!!!

I am not sure this makes me addicted - but I know that I have never had a negative reaction to another person based on resemblance...HOWEVER

I am trying to watch the Sons of Anarchy series...and the actress playing Tara (Maggie Siff) looks so much like Casey Anthony (or vice versa) that I have a visceral reaction to her.

I'm angry when she's in a seen, mistrustful of her and I am positive she has evil plans. I know its all because she looks like Casey (or vice versa) but I can't seem to talk myself out of it!

That is so funny that you say that... I'm a bartender. We have two main bars and then the bar that I work. My bar is smaller and seats 14 bar stools. I am also in charge of all the waitresses and shooter girls. It's called the waitress station. A few years ago... closer to when this case began... a girl came in to start working as a waitress and she looked so much like Casey Anthony that I caught myself giving this girl some of the worst looks you could ever give anyone. She had the same hair... the same face... the same body type... it was insane! I watched her like a hawk all night. It didn't help that I live in Fort Myers (where George's family lives) and Casey was out on bond at that time. :floorlaugh:

To make a long story short... I did confront her about it. I asked her if she knew who Casey was and she didn't know anything about this case. It took me a long time to even want to be friends with her. :floorlaugh: But we are still friends to this day (on facebook) even though she moved.

My kids are all grown and its just me and hubby. Things would be different here during the hearings and at trial if I had kids to care for. But since I don't.....

1. You have the calendar marked off w/ all hearings and the trial. (yup)
2. You have sufficiently warned your family no calls will be answered from May 9th on. (yup)
3. You have already written off half your summer, as you will be watching the trial. (yup)
4. You have a special area (mine is my office) dedicated to trial viewing, I have 2 laptops and one will be on livestream while the other will be for posting. I have a comfy futon, have cleaned the room thoroughly, and have the TV for TruTV, but I won't be relying on that for my trial watching. (yup)
5. Dinner, what's that? A special dinner after May 9 in my house will be hamburger helper, and NOTHING will be prepared till the trial on laptop is OFF and even then will be on my little laptop for most of the evening. (yup)
6. No way you will be hitting the snooze button in the morning. (yup)
7. All errands and shopping will be done on weekends, as much as I hate shopping on weekends. No exceptions (yup)

There's much more but I am too embarassed to admit some of them.

I know I am addicted to this case. I sit at a computer 8 hours a day and come home and turn the laptop on and go straight to Websleuths. This has been going on since this case began. I spend all of my lunch hour viewing posts and catching up with the news here. People at work think I am a little morbid talking about this case but OH Well. My family tells me I spend to much time online but I will be here until it is over and justices come to Caylee. I rarely log out of Websleuths anymore.

Not long ago I said I knew I was addicted because I'm here so much my hands swell and hurt.
So ,yeah,I'm still addicted,but it turns out I have Rheumatoid arthritis. I was so sure I was doing something to cause the swelling that I downplayed it with my dr and now I already have joint damage : ( Crooked fingers.............BUT MY POINT IS,
If your legs or hands are swelling see the doctor,preferably before May !
I'll be fine. No need to respond : )
