You Know You're Addicted to the Case When:

When I am scouring for the date of the internet searches for neck breaking, chloroform etc. at 4:30 in the morning after having a dream that CA did the searches because she was plotting to murder ICA and GA to have Caylee to herself, her house to herself, and her money to herself.
It was a wild dream...just had to see if CA was home!
I would much rather dream of unicorns and lollipops.. but I have a lot of the "Case Against Casey" dreams.. I think Dave Maus of Dave Maus Toyota of Orlando has even made a special appearance in one...

I'd rather listen to Dave Maus do commentary than half the In Session talking heads. Perhaps he could allow people to park at his dealerhsip and use the courtesy shuttle to transport them back and forth to the courthouse.

Yea.. I'd rather watch his advertisements too.. he feels like an old friend.. ol' Dave in Orlando.

... when your teens come home from school and hug me and ask 'whats new with the casey case today'? and I try to act nonchalont..'oh it's been a slow day'... and then realize I've checked the boards here, The Hinky Meter, Blink on Crime, Marinade Dave, and Dr. Glass's blog about 42 times since breakfast.

(Ahh the benefits of working from home!!!!)

LOL.

A friend of mine :innocent:-ly tried to talk to me about this case- mind you she knows zippo about Anthony anything- and just happened to mention seeing a tid-bit on it cuz I've mentioned it a few times (okay, more than a few).......knowing I am like a smoker on withdrawal when following these cases, she tried to engage with me.........
She says "Oh, that poor Cindy Anthony. I feel so bad for her. She sounds heart broken".

I nearly tore her head off............WHAT????????? I said. I proceeded- You wanna talk ICA, CA, LA, GA, etc. then you have to start from the beginning and then tell me Poor CA. Then I flooded her email with links and videos.:crazy::crazy:

She's never mentioned it again. :innocent:

I guess I'm a bit 'tense'. :truce:

My DH and I were having a bit of a squabble over something and at one point in the discussion I just about said "OK I'll stipulate to that".

I know I'm addicted when I'm glad the defense just filed another moronic motion (according to a news website, though it's not on the docket yet) to distract me from waiting for HHJP's rulings. Oh, and I'm also way too excited about figuring out how to use the court docket site. I should not be this excited about checking the docket hundreds of times a day now, LOL.

When your child (elementary school) watches a hearing with you and says......

"Who is this guy and where did he buy his diploma?"

"That lady with the blond hair is really smart."

"I see why they call him Bozo Mommy."

"That girl acts like she is busy with her notes."

"Mommy are you going to law school or what?"

and the VERY BEST ONE OF ALL..............................

"Mommy, why is it taking so long for this trial?"

When you read the depos of witnesses you catch their misstatements, you know names of streets and businesses in a city / state where you have never been and you can identify said witnesses by their name, place of work, education level and the HS / college they attended.

Bold mine.

Hey, "whatever it takes!" LOL!

When it's 11:15pm and you are struggling to keep your eyes open but yet you try to continue to read here through the irritating tears from your very tired eyes. I'm shot.

Don't know if you all have kids, but I'm wracking my brain trying to plan my son's summer vacation, watch this case, without appearing to be the neglectful mom. We have a membership to 24 hour fitness, and he's admant about going (I'm the holder, he's the guest), so it's not like he can go without me. So is it okay if I ask him to get up at 3 AM to work out so I can be home in time for opening statements here on the West Coast. And how on earth am I gonna get away with being on the pooter all day! I don't think I'll be able to do it, so I'll pick my fav witnesses (G, C, L, AH, TL, YM) and make sure to have plenty activities planned for him that day.

Hey, maybe I can get wifi by the pool :)

Mel

Mel I hear you! My family doesn't get my obsession with WS in general and my DD is expecting me back in CA to babysit my DGBaby for the summer - something I love doing - but she's 10 mos old, it's not like I can sit around on the puter while she plays Wii or takes a swim!! Not only that, the kid wears me out! I follow her to bed at night - so I won't be able to play catch up!

Decisions, decisions!

You know when your addicted to this case when you come on this specific thread and feel right at home because you are not alone! :innocent:

Okay, I embarrassed my self by calling the Y to see if they have wifi so I could watch while my son swims and works out. He can play lots of video games instead. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

You find yourself watching Nancy Grace, even though you don't like her show, just because she's talking about the case.

I left my teen grandson at the dentist for his check up and cleaning, to run home and watch testimony until he called when done. Wasn't feeling very well though, so might have done it anyway since he's now old enough to be unaccompanied for a cleaning once I get him in there and checked in.

You are wondering where Sue Moss is while watching Nancy Grace because you are dying to hear a rhyme or two about this case!
