Ned: There has been much debate about this, given Burkes size, however I think he ?could? have inflicted the head wound, only something with more swing like a golf club or bat seems more plausible to me.
Ned: Actually there was NO match between the skull fracture and mag flashlight, it was just one weapon that MAY have been used in this crime.
A bat works fine for me. Dr. Spitz matched the Maglight to the head wound by bashing the head of a child cadaver. It's in Thomas' book.
Ned: Yes they usually suffocate and choke to death. There was NO indication this ever happened.
Ned: The petechial hemorrhages were caused by constriction of the airways. It?s CLEAR that she was affixiated and the nylon rope was what caused the affixation.
Petechial hemorrhages can be caused by affixiation, choking, or convulsions. There is NO way to differentiate between petechial hemorrhages caused by one method or the other.
Ned: This is ridiculous thinking on any parents part. Very simply this would have been an accident. If Burke did it then the Ramsey?s would have had NOTHING to hide.
Ned: Why would any parent go through all this when they simply could have said it was an accident?
YOU can say this Ned, because you are familiar with this case. The Ramseys had NO experience at all with the Colorado child laws. They had no idea a child in Colorado under the age of 10 is not culpable.
Calling for help would have meant giving up total control of Burke to whatever situation the law called for. John was not about to do that after just losing another daughter.
Sit back and think about it, Ned - It worked perfectly, didn't it. Did you see John and Patsy losing control of Burke's future in any way?
Ned: Again ridiculous thinking that anyone would be given anything but a direct meaning for the word.
Most adults know "incest" is sex between a parent and their child, but not all adults know if sex between siblings falls under the defination of the word. Additionally, the Ramseys wouldn't have know if "incest" is against the law by defination or just a religious taboo like homosexuality.
Ned: Easy enough to just wrap it around his hand.
Ned: No man would need leverage to strangle a 6 year old child IMO.
Ned: Post mortem bruising does NOT cause pooling of blood which is evidence on the right side of her neck. This was done while she was ALIVE!
She was already dead and it took extreme strength to pull the cord into her neck and cause the post-mortem bruising. There is no mark(s) on her neck that in not consistant with post-mortem bruising--do some research. If she was alive as you say, the ligature strangulation would have damaged the organs in her neck--instead, there was nothing internal that indicated strangulation. No damage to the strap muscles and no damage to her tongue--both prime indicators of ligature strangulation.
Ned: The amount of tape left on JB?s mouth suggests a woman did this staging not a man.
I don't think the amount of tape used indicates a man or a woman either way. A fake gag is staging, that's all.
Ned: The molestation was done BEFORE her death. You don?t bleed after you die and there was a fair amount of abrasion and swelling in her vaginal region.[/QUOTE]
You missed it, read my whole theory again. Burke molested her which caused the swelling and partial abrasion. John also tried to stage additional molestation. Just FYI, you DO bleed after you die if you cut a vein and gravity allows the blood to flow out. This is why a hunter dresses an animal by hanging it up and cutting its throat.
Ned, if you do some research on the web, you will find that NOTHING in my Burke theory is impossible. In fact, you will discover that the basic facts about post-mortem bruising and ligature strangulation indicators prove my theory. You can't strangle someone without damaging the inside of their neck. And petechial hemorrhages caused by convulsions (due to head concussion) are identicle to those caused by affixiation--the same mechanism causes them.
