The State's opening was so well laid out but delivered quietly and was flat. The Defense is loud and conversational but seems as though she can't even follow her own thoughts. She's went through about 10 people who were considered a suspect and keeps stopping like she has forgot who she was talking about. Am I alone in this thinking?

Nope I feel that way too! She keeps losing her train of thought and pausing, trying to think of what to say next.

The State is banking it's entire case on the jury believing the testimony of Jason Autry.

I don't think so. They were already charged with the death penalty way before JA confessed to them. There will be ample others who will testify against him. ZAs was so proud of the depravity he had done he couldn't keep his mouth shut about it and told numerous others. IMO Loose lips have sunk ships before, and it will sink his.

Anytime a prosecutor has one of the co-defendants testify for them its a gold mine for them. I have seen it happen in several past cases, and I cant think of one case where the co-defendant wasn't believed by the jury. But it wont be just JAs testimony............there will be plenty of others who will do the same. As the years passed he thought he had gotten away with it so he arrogantly ran his mouth more and more. imo

Like the prosecutor said 'if you want to know about bad things that have happened you have to talk to a bad man.' (paraphrasing)
