BREAKING NEWS.....
Channel 7 news from Aus just did a report from NC (same guy who interviewed Emily in Wagga wagga) and confirmed that Emily has been informed that it was human remains found , and they are believed to be Zahra.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to pop in here quickly and let ya'll know that I understand the frustration at not knowing what to do re: continued sleuthing for Zahra's remains, given what the media has put out today.
(I am verified SAR, fwiw)
HPD has not released info saying that the evidence found was Zahra, and she is still listed as a missing child on NCMEC.

For whatever reason or speculations they have, any info regarding identifying the evidence found as Zahra is not verifiable by LE at this time. It may or may not be true...but unfortunately until they come right and say "We have found her".... as SAR we have to assume a position of uncertainty, and therefore- continue searching.

I hope with all of my heart that LE wll clarify the situation tomorrow so that hearts across the world will rest easier. But some cases are so difficult and take so many twists and turns, that that is not always possible in the time frame we all would like.

Since this thread was created for the purposes of aiding and sleuthing search and recovery operations for Zahra, I feel we should continue until further statement from LE.

This is JMHO, and I certainly understand why folks might want to sit back for a while before continuing to put so much effort into something the media is leading us to believe will be a waste of time.

As SAR, I just thought I would share my perspective on that. I'm going to keep on, until told she has been found.

yes my twitter id is shay0903, i just started it cause it was easier to post pics when i go ride around vs a camera. Ive been riding around a little the last few days since its easy for me with the search areas where they are. I am definetly not going to be like the news media and post every breaking news...just if I am out and someone wants to know what the situation looks like like today those who were curious where and what rds were closed. I don't think we should stop searching because evidently LE hasn't so why should we? But its hard without knowing what the deal was with CHristie rd today:shakehead: they met with adam earlier so maybe public will get late night update??

But this did strike me odd, the news guy rad berky with wcnc tweeted he was in the town of Granite and lost...all 3 blocks of it around 7. Why was he in Granite at 7pm? Its a one horse town (sorry granite ppl) and nothing probably open and not really any restuarants or hotels?? Following another lead?? Falls Avn is like the one of the main streets. Mentioned as one of EBs addresses .

yeah, I am mush as well, not quiting, just taking a breath while I give LE a chance to give me an idea if we are still looking for multiple sites. They have still not confirmed the bone from Christy is related to Z.

1. They are finished searching and found everything they needed...

2. Like with the Christy Rd. site that they said they were finished with, then went back to after some days... they said that was because of a new lead. Any chance that they kept the area under surveillance so that if anyone with an *ahem* guilty conscience should return to the scene, they would know that? (OK now that I type that out it sounds remarkably far-fetched. :blushing

And/or dispose of evidence in an area already searched.

ETA: Thank you all who are willing to continue tomorrow if need be. Hopefully, we will have some closure and that will not be necessary. But your commitment to finding Zahra makes my heart swell with both pride and love for you all. Everyone, get some rest and we'll see you in the morning.

Ok I guess everyone has heard via media that the search has been called off by HPD because evidence was so significant. So thanks to everyone on this post for helping with the search and maybe I can help out on the case/trials etc when it gets to that point!!

A BeAuTiFuL Angel sets in HEAVEN pointing her mother in the right direction to take her home...and is wrapping her arms around everyone of the hard working men and woman involved in the search to bring her justice!!!:angel:

This morning I was searching where gunpowder creek is located....
Not sure how (if any) this coincidence is but there is a gunpowder creek also in Austrailia. Its in West Queensland...

Do we know if Adam ever lived in this area? or it could just be a common name for a creek?

I do want to reiterate that Zahra remains listed as a missing child, pending release of ID by LE.

I too recommend joining the support or memorial thread for those who feel comfortable there- a good suggestion, Duck.

I think most of us feel like we have just lost one of our very own children.
Peace and apologies are not enough words for our Aussie friends. Please know how much we loved your baby, and how hard we worked to bring her home.

I think we can hold off on sleuthing/ mapping/etc today.

Still sleuthing on whether Gunpowder creek and the coincidence there's one in Australia...

Found that Adam and Elisa was married in Queensland...and there is a gunpowder creek also in Queensland....

Is this just a common name or does the name of the creek represent something??
