Zellner Tweets

Thanks for the video Jaiddie... I just watched it! As for the "liar" recanting his testimony.... he was a criminal and a liar before he testified, and he had a lot to gain by being a "liar" in the trial. He had zero to gain by recanting his testimony IMO If a known criminal and liar can't ever be believed, then his testimony shouldn't have been taken as credible either, and I'm guessing may be part of the reason why the conviction was overturned. I looked for the judgement online, but couldn't find it (didn't look too hard lol).

KZ tweeted a few weeks ago that Mario was accepted to law school. :-)
Yes, he was a criminal and a liar both before and after. His several interviews were video taped with his attorney present and his testimony remained consistent every time which is why he was believed...until Zellner come along - highly suspicious!

At the end of the day he was not released because he was found innocent. It was for lack of evidence once the testimony was re-canted.

On another note, I think KZ was referring to all the people who must be contacting her with clues. I had read on one reddit post, they were going to contact her. I can only imagine how many others have done the same. She must be inundated with calls, emails, letters, etc.
I actually used the contact form on her website to send a link to something - not a tip, but a tool - and she was very gracious about it. I didn't expect a response but she emailed back personally with a thank you. On a weekend evening, no less.

I just realized--we are the only ones who refer to Steven Avery as SA---she reads our threads!

although I wouldn't be surprised if she or her office did.... Steven Avery is commonly referred to as SA everywhere... redditt, facebook, twitter, etc. ;-)

Prosecution:"we can't prove why TH was killed by SA." Too bad investigators overlooked why others might have killed her.

I love these cryptic tweets. I assume that at a later date Zellner will provide us with a suspect that had a motive to kill Teresa.

I hope that she also provides some evidence that shows this suspect is the real killer.

I would hope that she would be working with LE BEFORE the big reveal, so the person is apprehended...but wait....how does that work?

Ok, I believe this person killed TH and this is why, now go apprehend him and I'll see you in civil court???

So, which LE would she be working with then? I don't think Milwaukee County is involved yet.

By the way, people in Wisconsin refer to Illinois people as "flatlanders" or "FIB's" (bad word Illinois bad word) I don't think she'll make very many friends up there...LOL

I don't think that she's interested in working with LE and finding true justice in this case. Her goal is to free Steven Avery.

I'm a Californian and I don't understand the "flatlander" or "FIB" connotations. Sorry.

LOL, well I can't tell you the FIB because is starts with F and is a bad word. Illinois is the middle, and the last starts with B and the definition would be a person born of parents not married to each other.

The flatlander connotation refers to the hilliness in Wisconsin versus the flater land in Illinois. See this site for reference.

I posted those mainly to highlight that people in Wisconsin don't necessarily like people from IL. (of course, there are exceptions to the rule--before everyone jumps all over me) So this must really be driving them nuts to have a IL lawyer up their butts.

I thought she said she was going to find the real killer and set SA free, no dice huh?

Her goal SHOULD be to free SA, IMO

Personally, from everything laid out here ( reports/lack of, phone records/lack of, tunnel vision & LE lying under oath ) why should she " rise above " and work with LE?

Everyone involved in this case had their chance, gave it 110% and they all stand firm in their conviction. Should she free SA with new evidence, last I time I checked, it wasn't her place to backtrack & find out who did it, JMO

She did say that she would find the real killer in the process. I think she may work with LE to have that person charged with TH murder. After all, in the end a beautiful young lady lost her life. Which begs the question--is it about wrongful convictions, is it about whether SA is guilty or innocent, is it about who killed TH?

It is about Injustice. Which includes all of the above.

Imo, it should be about who killed Teresa. It is a great injustice to have your life brutally taken from you. It is a greater injustice if the person responsible is not punished to the full extent of the law. It is an even greater injustice when people are asking for your killer's release and making money off your brutal death.

And yet an even greater injustice if those we put in positions of authority are so crooked that they use your murder as retribution to settle an old score. The corruption is so blatant, i have a hard time understanding how some folks don't see it. Thank God for Zellner. At least we know there is someone with at least some semblance of integrity working towards justice for TH.

When accusing someone of murder, you need evidence to back it up. This has been done several times over in this case.

When accusing someone of corruption, you need evidence to back it up. That has never been done in this case. Tweets aren't evidence nor is innuendo or a dislike of LE.

I really hope so too.
Absolutely, there are others who should have been thoroughly investigated and ruled out as suspects - I could come up with plausible narratives for at least half a dozen people connected to this case. However, there's simply no evidence to suggest that they were responsible.

IMO unless she's uncovered something new to substantiate what she's hinting at, those tweets are simply irresponsible and causing untold pain and damage.

Thank you! I agree 1000%. It boggles my mind sometimes.

But can't it be argued that there is no evidence because they did not thoroughly investigate?

I understand and agree that if KZ comes up with some major evidence that points at someone else that it should maybe be shared with LE before it goes public or is filed, wouldn't want someone making a run for the border, right? lol But here is the problem.... who does she share that with? Manitowoc County? Calumet? Wisconsin DOJ? Because they have done such a stellar job in the past! Hypothetically, IF she did find something.... she isn't going to share it with any LE that had a hand in the investigation... and there were many hands involved.
