Zellner Tweets

Witnesses are not science.
If science will rule then the witnesses are unimportant because they're spin.
She is contradicting herself.
Does she drink?

Her tweets do sometimes resemble the rantings of a drunk person don't they? Many wonder why the Innocence Project are no longer involved in the case and why no comment from Zellner.

Hi Limaes!

I thought there was someone from the WI Innocence Project working on SA's case that Zellner was partnering with... or am I dreaming this up?

A number of people come off as Half Cocked, but I won't presume to know if they drink. ;)

Okay I found who Zellner is working with: Tricia Bushnell of the Midwest Innocence Project

It's the WI Innocence Project that wanted nothing more to do with Avery after getting him out the first time.

Yes, Tricia Bushnell is the legal Director at Midwest Innocence Project. She is no longer involved with the representation of Avery. There has been no details provided by either her or Zellner as to why as far as I know. This is pretty big in my opinion.

#1- do you have a source for this?
#2 - what difference does it make?

I think Bushnell's name was on the big motion Zellner filed recently, as in on the front page, along with Zellner's name. That's what confused me because I got the impression she (Bushnell) would still be involved if she was getting a copy and her name is on the motion.

Bushnell was named Executive Director of the Midwest Innocence Project on August 5th, 2016.

Steven G. Richards is now acting as Local Counsel. Zellner is not licensed in the State of Wisconsin and needs a local lawyer.

IMO Bushnell is just too busy. Last week she tweeted that she had 3 hearings, 5 depositions and 2 filings in 4 States. I highly doubt that she did any leg work and was more of a "signature" than anything.

Oh or... maybe Bushnell found out about Zellner's obvious drinking problem and stepped down  (*sarcasm* for those that don't know sarcasm is :) )

It makes a huge difference. Not only has Zellner downgraded but the normally Tweet happy Zellner has yet to publicly comment.

ETA ...if you meant the source for her no longer being involved it is here http://www.stevenaverycase.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Avery-State-Response-to-Motion-to-Hold-Appeal-in-Abeyance-9-1-16.pdf

If you're only finding out now that is because it has been kept hush hush for some reason

I mean, it's the same amount of characters to make it a little more understandable... "Science-not spin-will rule." Or for just two more characters, do it right: "Science, not spin, will rule." It took me quite a while to parse what the hell she was saying in that word salad.

It's hot and I'm grouchy.

And if it has been kept "hush hush".... why do you know about it?

I must be good at reading her tweets LOL I didn't have to read it twice to understand it. I also have teenage children, you have no idea how many times it looks like I need a decoder ring to read a text ;-)

I do think this goes with what was being discussed earlier today and the other day actually. Blogs/social media have changed the way we get information, opinions, and research when dealing with some of these cases. If you are waiting for MSM to get reliable information about this case, good luck with that! If you are waiting for Zellner to tweet who she thinks the perp is... good luck with that LOL

The Bushnell/Richards change, was filed yesterday and zerbert posted it in the Motions thread :) The States response was also posted by zerbert. I don't think any local media has reported on it yet (probably because they are enjoying the long weekend). I'm sure they will check reddit when they get back to work on Tuesday and will post their breaking news story LOL

Actually, I remember reading about this on here somewhere. Wasn't it speculated that Bushnell made a mistake with the filing of a motion or something?

that was JMO CoolJ.... if you look at the States response.... it says: His reliance on the Court's inherent authority is misplaced, however, as there is a Wisconsin statute, Wis. Stat 808.075(5), that governs his request.

IMO this is why local counsel is needed, to deal with State statutes, etc. Also there was something back in April or May that wasn't filed properly. Again, IMO, the local counsel should know procedures of the State.

What does the media have to do with it. Zellner can't wait to announce other things on Twitter, yet she is all quiet on this one?

That was someone's opinion, not fact.

Zellner is not local. It could have just as likely been her that made the errors.
