What's even funny is while I was moaning about us all being vague about evidence - it's pretty easy to remember back to pre-trial days when a poster didn't dare comment on any piece of evidence or testimony without a whole chorus of fellow posters demanding a link...

It benefits her BIG TIME. :banghead: While her four counts of lieing conviction is waiting for appeal, she MAY LIKELY plead the 5th ammendment to not incriminate herself in that CRIMINAL trial and not answer any questions in a civil deposition (any incliding ZFG) because all of the deposition questions relating to ZFG stem back from the lies in the lieing conviction. The judge is going to rule on this issue, and I'd bet, just my opinion, she is going to side with the defence.:banghead::sick:

How long does it take for decision on the appeal? DT filed the appeal, if I remember right, the Friday before she got out of jail. Maybe it will be decided before the depo and there ya go

"example", point is that other markets outside the US were very interested in her, at that time. I think her reps, JB & GR (mo) could sell her interview out of the US and make a lot of money. But I could also see one or two US networks that would pay her for an interview, and not worry about the backlash

that's not completely true. I am sad to out myself as an addict of that crappy newspaper :floorlaugh: but OCA never made it to daily mail even once before july 5th 2011. aside from those of us on WS no one here has heard of her...no market over here for her...but believe me, if people in the EU think they might be lining the pockets of a babykiller, there will be every bit as much boycott here as there.

Just read about it. The last I heard, the credibility of the 'death threats' were being investigated. Has anybody heard if they've been proven credible or not? For all that's not been said about them, how do we know CM and JB didn't make them up? To not even let the attorney's of ZG in the same room with her is getting to be a little much.

this is where I start thinking these judges are pansies. if she is SOOOOOO death threatened & terrified for her life & well being, then how did those pics in ohio, of her alll by her lonesome, come about? maybe I misremember but she sure didnt look attacked and terrified for her life in 'em. I am SURE I would have recalled that.


disclaimer: I know her DT set those pics & vids up. but she was still in public walkin' by her lonesome in several areas. good one, baez, but no one smart is falling for it.

IIRC it could be a long time. This is a very low priority appeal for a trivial matter, which is why the DT filed it ... to stall and buy time against all of these law suits ... so FCA can plead the 5th and delay.

I assume the DT are hoping some/all of these are going to go away else they are just delaying the inevitable rather than getting everything sorted.

It could be months and months .... IMO

..no. the new judge is not only letting her appear via skype from a "secret" location---------she's sealing the video too.

..kc's lawyer, charles greene, says all she's going to say is her name anyway, and plead the 5th on every other question asked---b/c of the pending "liarX4 appeal" that may or may not be concluded by october..

So that means that she cannot be forced to testify until after her appeal for lying is finished?

If ever ... the problem is that FCA cannot "swear to tell the truth", she cannot participate in a Depo and provide any honest or verifiable answers ... she is going to lie. She does not know what the truth is.

As we saw at Universal ... even when caught in a lie ... she goes ahead and repeats it and sticks with it.

I am sure the next step from the Defense is to seek an out based on mental state ... that FCA lives in an alternate reality and is unfit to testify. IMO

I agree...that's what is strange...how she keeps repeating a lie that as already been refuted. Its illogical.

Have they actually filed the appeal? Last I heard, they had only filed the "INTENT" to appeal papers.. :dunno:

if this makes it to trial, i believe it will be filmed. i think during the murder trial days i saw one of the guys (bruce?) on the live blog over at wftv say that they would be covering the civil suit. if so, we will be hearing about the content of the deposition in court, even with it being sealed, correct?

Hope the citizens of FL band together to get this judge thrown out. The people in that state have made it clear that they want open records but these legislate-from-the-bench judges overrule that. Disgraceful.

Now I could be wrong...after all, I don't have the experience in the civil arena.

That said,

I really really doubt that Richard H verified that information.

There's been a lot of going back & forth on the issue of invoking the 5th amendment during a deposition.

I'm pretty sure it boils down to one glaring fact.

You don't check the Constitution at the door when you go to a depo.

You don't pick it up on the way out.

The technical act of skyping the deposition will also fail to obliterate any portion of that same Constitution.

..whoever it was that said earlier that they didn't think we could do worse than judge rodriguez was right! this judge munyon is driving me crazy already with the special treatment she's giving the felon.

Her 'team' so wants FCA to stay in the limelight. They could have easily stated that she would give her deposition by way of the internet. FCA'a location (or secret location) didn't need to enter the equation or the comment.

Aren't there two reactions? The first one, Casey is told the remains are found at a different location than the swamp and she basically just smirks. Then they tell her the remains were found in the swamp and she totally flips. I remember hearing Tracy McLaughlin say this about both reactions on his show.

I remember hearing FCA had a semi panic attack. I don't think I read or heard that she flipped. It will be interesting to find out her exact reaction if the video is ever released.

I don't see how KC and her team can win by appealing the lying convictions. I don't see what the point of this is? Just to delay the civil case? Its inevitable that she will have to testify eventually!
