No, but i think she thought she struck paydirt by finding a real person with the name Zenaida who was the same age and who potentially lived in the neighborhood. She needed something like that for it to seem plausible. When she took the cops to Sawgrass she thought Zanny Gonzales might ACTUALLY live in that apt. she pointed out.

IIRC, that was the same apt. that Zenaida actually looked at. So IF Zenaida had been living there when the cops arrived it would have been a much bigger mess for Zenaida.

Unfortunately, "Sawgrass/Lawsuit ZG" (37 y.o. at the time) was not even close to the same age as "Fake Nanny ZFG" (approx. 24 y.o. at the time IIRC).

IIRC Sawgrass/Lawsuit ZG looked at the apartment right below the one Casey pointed to. Another weirdness that Morgan should be trying to explain as part of his case.

The A's have known for a long time that Zanny the Nanny was KC otherwise CA would not have been looking to blame JG, AH, RM, and a cast of characters. They all led back to one person. jmo

She could have easily stopped this, but she didn't.

Because she didn't want to waive her 5th Amendment right to remain silent by partially answering questions relating to the things she was charged with.

Now, obviously, if she were really really innocent, she would have answered all the questions anyway, because they are not IMO difficult questions for an innocent person to answer.

I'm not sure what you mean by "put the cops on this particular woman's tail". From what it says in the police report, an officer called her, using the number on the visitor card (not shut off), made arrangements to go meet with her, showed her pictures of Casey and Caylee, both of whom she said she did not know, told her thank you very much, and left. The end.

Casey got off by lying, it would be funny now if she is held accountable for something she didn't do by someone lying. Poetic justice? Casey Anthony perverted the law and now someone is doing it to her, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

As with this case, the check fraud case and the trial - Casey Anthony takes it as far as she has - it could have ended 3 years ago.

I believe there is a very specific reason (as there was with the check fraud case) that Baez and his client didn't resolve the issue.

What would be the reason the issues were not intentionally resolved?

I have not seen a jail video in which Casey says she did not rule out the suing Z?G, but regardless, that is not the same thing as accusing her publicly. Also not publicly, it's in the police reports that she did rule her out.

These scams are Nigeria'a largest GNP! I found it hard to believe GA fell for it. I work with older people and a lot of them ALMOST fell for it. One couple had a check cut and did not believe me - they paid a lawyer to find out it was a scam! Loads of people get those Nigerian emails.

Casey had to choose an alibi apt. This was on her list because she had friends there and knew it. So she had the opportunity to look through the trash there.

We do not know what date it was, the trash is there for a week or so. She probably looked through lots of apps, maybe even took others. But once she saw the name Zenaida she would take it for sure. I bet there was enough light. And she may have been looking in the office and not out in the trash. She evidently knew some of the staff there.

I didn't believe for one second there was any Nigerian scam... GA as an ex-cop is too shrewd to fall for that old trick IMO- he gambled or visited 'escort' businesses most likely, but Nigerian scam sounds better when you have to admit it in public. The A's lived with huge debt if you look at their CC bills, they are maxed out all the time.

But, see, you just proved your point. KC ruled her out with LE the night BEFORE, BEFORE KC was arrested. Then went on to tell her mother LE NEVER showed her pictures of the ZG in Kissimmee after she was in jail. CA went out and broadcasted the lie. Does not matter KC told LE the truth when she was free, once KC was arrested she wanted everyone to know that she never saw that picture. This woman was from NY (same as ZG). So what would have been KC's motive to lie. KC knew her mother would go right straight to the media. Everyone was outraged to begin with with this Nanny. So what was KC hoping would happen to this woman? If the woman disappeared KC would say, yes, that was her. KC takes advantage of every opportunity she has.

It took a short period of time for LE and the media to clear things up that this was not the right person. In the meantime, the damage was already done. Can't "unring the bell". jmo

I don't recall the time frame of when the name ZFG was first used in the media and when LE made the statement that she was not involved but it seems to me it was almost immediately. I recall posters here digging into ZFG's myspace and facebook even after LE said she was cleared. The people who refused to accept LE's word are to blame for the threats and harrassment, IMO.

We will probably never know what it was, but there was some impropriety with ICA'S friend being involved, otherwise why would that person refuse to give a statement about ICA's visits there?

Fact is Casey Anthony was given the chance to clear this up through ZG's attorney and she refused. Now she is being sued.

That's how it works.

I think she has a case. I think ICA messed up by not answering those questions.

As has already been posted, this particular manager in this particular apartment said HE fills out the visitor slips. The rest of your post.....I'm sorry but I don't find that scenario the least bit plausible.

I recall posters here digging into ZFG's myspace and facebook even after LE said she was cleared. The people who refused to accept LE's word are to blame for the threats and harrassment, IMO.

Not immediately enough- ZG was threatened and followed by people who were convinced she had Caylee. Then when the media got the story it was a firestorm and she was the loser- job- home -her good name.
