Zsa Zsa Gabor Falls Into a Coma

This is going to sound harsh, but... Does anyone else kinda get the idea that Prince von A is prolonging her life selfishly? Like, maybe he knows that once she is gone, so is his meal ticket?

That makes me feel like a jerk, even to type that out... But, I just read that the Prince was trying to get ZsaZsa to have a baby with him via a surrogate... I almost get the idea that he was trying to assure a legitimate heir...

I hope that ZsaZsa's daughter steps in and makes sure that her mother can go, in peace...

Think you have said it as politely as one can! A husband has the upper hand or say so over the daughter unless a legal document says otherwise. We know the Prince is/has not allowed that to happen or ZsaZsa would not be where she is today. So sad.

I'm sure she has round the clock nurses at home as the Prince is not caring for her daily needs. Her home is her "nursing home" as happens with most celebrities. Whether extreme measures have been taken with so many trips to the hospital, is only one's guess.

Two facts we can be certain of: the prince is behind the notifcation to the media of ZsaZsa's hospitalization and there is dissension between the daughter and Prince. May ZsaZsa be free of pain.

I've kind of had the feeling based on things that she has reportedly said, that she doesn't want to die. I could be wrong. He seems like a knucklehead.

The 94-year-old Hollywood icon is recovering after she was rushed to the hospital this week with severe bleeding from the feeding tube that was in her stomach

Ugh. I cannot imagine having a feeding tube put in a 94 year old woman who keeps slipping in and out of consciousness.

I wonder if she had any kind of advanced directive or if this is what she wanted.

Poor thing.

I pray she is adequately medicated to alleviate any pain or distress. Poor lady, I do hope she is getting some peace

I am of the mind that it's time to go towards hospice for this wonderful old soul...her husband, the idiot Prince von A...hem seems to be prolonging her life for reasons unknown to me. I'm advocating working to save her, but if this is her life - unresponsive, lost one leg, stomach feeding/bleeding, in and out of the hospital...it might be time to seek hospice care (which doesn't mean NO care, it just means comfort care, and treatment of that which can be treated, and pain taken care of).

I don't like Princy-boy...but I do like her. I'm always sad to see her ill and suffering, although if she's comatos, she's likely not suffering at all.

JMHO, of course.

This poor woman needs to pass to the other side. I think it's crewl to make her go through everything she has been through the last couple of years. Shame on those who are so selfish to let this behavior continue.

Yes you are right. I've must have been confused about that for years. LOL

Lol, even though I know it was Eva I still think of Zsa Zsa when I hear that theme.

She was/is always a strong willed and spirited woman. I remember her from Johnny Carson. Beautiful and very funny. Women's advocate long before Gloria Steinman. God's speed, Zsa, Zsa.

Additionally, I believe that ZsaZsa must have incredible faith that the dear Lord will take her when He is ready. Ms. Gabor was given the Last Rites of the Catholic Church in August, 2010 and survives more than a year later. Perhaps when she requested the Sacrament, ZsaZsa prayed that she would not succumb to her illness at that time, and she is grateful that her life was spared. jmo

Princy-boy isn't even a 'real' prince. "Prinz von Anhalt" is his surname, rather than a title, as per German laws regarding the country's former nobility.

He was adopted (as an adult in 1980) by Kaiser Wilhelm's widowed daughter-in-law, Princess Marie of Anhalt.

Zsa Zsa kept behind closed doors at birthday party
By DERRIK J. LANG, AP

LOS ANGELES — After what felt like an eternity but was actually just a few minutes, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt emerged from a white door into the foyer of the old-fashioned Bel-Air mansion that he shares with his wife of 25 years, former glamour queen Zsa Zsa Gabor.

The self-proclaimed German prince held a chocolate birthday cake he said was a gift from celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. Smoke from the expunged candles jabbed into the small cake was still drifting in the air.

Surrounded by paintings and photographs depicting Gabor when she was an infamously sassy Hungarian actress, a few dozen guests quietly sipped champagne and mingle in the common areas of the home overlooking the twinkling lights of Los Angeles...

Thank you for posting this. I haven't heard or read anything about Ms. Gabor for a while and wondered how she was doing. I've never cared for "the Prince" and feel that he is probably not acting in Zsa Zsa's best interest. She should probably be in hospice with professionals tending her. I think the guy's been after Gabor's money from the get-go, and he is probably worried that he'll lose control of the fortune if he lets someone else care for his ailing wife. :moo:
