Smart phones are like computers. When you delete information, it is still stored in the OS until something else comes along to overwrite it. Considering all the texts that they did recover from DM's phone, just imagine all the ones they didn't. And there are a couple of ways to delete texts on an Iphone. You can delete them individually or you can delete an entire conversation.

As far as the text communication between him and LB, it is likely that once she was deceased and her phone was tossed "in the lake", DM deleted the entire last text communication between their phones. He likely did that often with other text conversations as well but some were recovered and damaging texts that were recovered were presented in court. I'm sure there were a LOT more that were overwritten, lucky for many of the key players in this IMO.

So to sum it up, some texts or entire text conversations would get overwritten with new information and I believe it's pretty random how that occurs. It is unfortunate that it appears the last conversation that he had with LB, which was deleted, appears to have been overwritten. But the billing information from both of their phones was available from their service providers. That billing information showed that there were texts and phone calls between the two phones on the days between June 30 and July 3rd, 2012.

ETA: So wait, if LB's phone was never recovered, how do they know of over 60 messages between her and CN?

They know from LB's phone provider that her phone had communication in both text and voice with CN's phone. They do not know what the content of those texts were, nor do they have either phone to try to retrieve deleted text information.

Interesting to hear how Dungey appeared in court today. I wonder if his demeanour will put off the jurors. I also note that Rosie DiManno made mention the fact that Dungey glided over the MS's rap. I think the rap is VERY damaging to MS as are the pictures of him with the Eliminator. DM is a slam dunk.

Yep- DM's need to play lawyer may have just come back to bite him. I doubt that TD sent him a thank you card. The ironic part of it is that the witnesses DM called were very weak- IMHO they didn't help his case at all. Cameron has closed with laser focus on the facts- amazing talent. RIP Laura- justice will be done.

Some people don't give two thoughts about their friends list, either.

Or, it could be for completely different reasons.

I have my grandmother on my list, and she passed in 2012. I like going back from time to time and seeing things she wrote in her own words. It's strange, but it's sentimental.

I truly believe that convicted murderers should lose the rights and privileges given to law-abiding citizens. DM and MS's criminal records should have been able to be mentioned IMO, but the law goes overboard IMO to protect the rights of the accused at the expense of the rights of the victim(s).

It is unfortunate too IMO that DM and MS can allege that LB is still alive which only adds to the misery of LB's family and exploits their vulnerabilities, as I imagine they have struggled (and perhaps still do) with accepting that these monsters killed their beloved daughter and sister, incinerated her remains, and then used her things among them without so much as a care in the world, IMO.

LB would definitely be in touch with her family and friends if she was alive, IMO. She would not willingly separate herself from every last person in her life of her own accord, IMO. If she had committed suicide or was murdered by someone else in other circumstances, it is extraordinary and IMO not reasonable to believe that her body would not have been discovered or that someone, somewhere would have information about her all these years later.

The case is based upon tons of circumstantial evidence and it is asking far too much of anyone to believe that all these things in totality add up to just a bunch of unfortunate coincidences for DM and MS, IMO. DM's own words in his letter to CN will, IMO, remove any reasonable doubt that LB is in fact dead and that DM and MS are her killers.

I know in my heart and my head agrees, that LB met her fate at the hands of DM and MS and after the closing today, the Crown will convince the jury too, I believe, and soon after convictions of M1 for both accused will follow as the natural and rightful conclusion to this case.

The incidence of kidnapping in GTA is very low, especially by strangers. It's possible but improbable. Beats the alien abduction hypothesis.

This post sent me to find the AM tattoo again on IG. I had never seen the flaming skull portion of it on the other side of his arm, but I finally found it and I am stunned. His arm is a memorial. The entire arm. He knows the truth and I think that arm tattoo makes sure he never forgets his brush with evil.

This is probably the most damning part for MS. Even with raps, etc, still could be that he was AATF and then exaggerated his role. But this is planning. M1 it is.

Which I don’t understand. Correct me if I’m wrong, does he not already have a lawyer for WM trial? But he claimed he could afford a lawyer for this trial and was denied legal aid? So how did he acquire a lawyer for 2 out of 3 charges? Or was he that cocky that he thought he had this on in the bag and didn’t need a lawyer?

He’s got a civil action to defend as well (along with MS, CN and MB). And perhaps another civil suit from LB’s family. Lots of opportunity to hone his lawyering skills. Shame he’s got such a reprehensible client. Unwinnable cases - life in prison and squander the entire family fortune.

I think that’s pretty far fetched theory!

Also, how do you know LB WOULD get into any car with anyone? Did you know her or did we see this somewhere? She wasn’t a street hooker, she worked out of an escort service periodically for like a month.
