Aphrodite Jones, JonBenet, and Lou Smit?

Makai, you know the hi-tec bootprint was Burke's...it was Burke Ramsey who told the Grand Jury he owned a pair of Hi-Tec's with a compass on the shoelaces. Fleet White Jr. also testified saying Burke owned a pair of Hi-Tecs.

As for the other shoeprint...could have been Patsy's...she was in the Wine Cellar Christmas Eve, retrieving Christmas presents.

BR's absence in the show really stood out....

To bad Discovery ID doesn't have a comments section for it's shows - that would be the place where I would like to post my feeling about how terrible poorly done AJ's show was.

Police studying footprints

"From the very beginning, that has been one of the reasons for not providing information about the case. If the killer or killers know what the police have for evidence, then that certainly hinders the investigation."
Attorney Hal Haddon, who represents John Ramsey, said public disclosure of the fact police have shoe prints as possible evidence only harms the investigation.
The killer of JonBenet now knows that police have possible incriminating evidence and can destroy the shoes, Haddon said. "We've known about it for some time," Haddon said. "We think it's terribly irresponsible that this kind of information becomes public because it's one piece of evidence the killer now knows about."

AJ's show about JBR was probably one of the worst if not the worst show I've ever watched about that night in December. Lies lies and more lies. I won't waste my time watching AJ's ridiculous show again.
I can't believe she did this type show without checking facts first. And I don't want to see a ban hammer lol but her 'guest specialist'---all I will say is that I found them freaking comical.

This is comical! Haddon had a lot of nerve with this comment considering it was the Ramsey team who went on television promoting evidence like the Hi-Tec shoes. After all, we saw proof of this on Ms. Jones' farce, didn't we? I say it's a good thing BR told about the shoes before Patsy found out about the footprint, otherwise those shoes would have been destroyed for sure! Yes Mr. Haddon, the killer found about about the shoes just a tad too late.

Frankly, I think they are making too much of the Hi-Tec footprint. Not because I think it may not have something to do with the crime (maybe it does, maybe not) but because there is no way to prove it was left that night.
Had shoes been found that matched the print in size, etc. whether belonging to a family member, friend or suspect (like Helgoth), the shoes could then have been tested to see if residue of the mold on the wineceller floor was present in the treads of the sole of the shoe. As far as the size- people whi have sons will know that some young boys are wearing an adult size shoe by age 9 or 10. And has been pointed out, there would not be a difference in the size of the LOGO imprinted on an adult shoe or a boy's shoe (assuming it wasn't a toddler/small child size).
If it was found in the shoe of a suspect that had NO business being in the R wineceller (like Helgoth) then we have a situation, because that would truly be an intruder situation and likely to have been left that night. But if it was found to belong to someone in the family or someone who was known to have been in the home and wineceller (like LHP's husband) that still wouldn't prove it had anything to do with the crime because it can't be proved it was left that night.

There was part that caught my attention on AJ's show - where the body language expert commented about JR's demeanor during his interview... anybody remember that and what she said?

I understand that when Burke was asked the question, he didn't understand Hi-Tec to be a brand name, but he took it to mean "high technology." There is no proof Burke ever owned Hi-Tec hiking boots. I think that print is legitimate because it was so clear in the mold. ie: mold didn't have time to grow into it. I don't know about the other one---could have been there from taking the presents out, or before then.

She said he kept looking down......Patsy was heavily drugged....no surprisingly. I don't know about JR. Either one of them being tranquilized and how that affects body language wasn't discussed.

They weren't hiking boots. They were sneakers with a compass on on the laces.
One thing about that print- the wineceller was used to store Christmas decorations and artificial trees. Just weeks before (November) several people, including LHP's husband and (I think) son-in-law) had been in there getting out the trees and other decorations. Hi-Tec is also a popular brand for service people, LE, etc. But with all the activity in that room BEFORE Christmas getting the decorations out, I think any footprint from that time would be smeared and/or obliterated. FW and JR were in that room that day (though we can't be sure how many times JR was there). The print looks pretty clear. I would think it was fairly recent (to when it was photographed). But at the end of the day- a footprint (like a fingerprint) just can't be "dated". They can be linked to crimes only when the owner is KNOWN and can be placed at the crime scene at the time the crime was committed.

Maikai,

First of all BR told the Grand Jury that he did indeed own Hi-Tech shoes. His good friend said BR owned Hi-Tech shoes, also at the Grand Jury. LE, had a copy of a receipt from an Atlanta store where Patsy had purchased them. BR had Hi-Tech shoes.

BR, was just about 10 years old, he knew the name and style of the in shoe of the times.

Heyya joeskidbeck.

Yes, I was reviewing the JBR Denver Post Archive, trying to figure out when and how MH evolved into a suspect included in the Ramsey's own umbrella of suspicion, and I was trying to find the first point in time when the Ramseys public disussion of the perp included the possibility, or consideration? that he may be dead.

DP Archive:

MH died in Feb of 97:

http://jonbenetramsey.pbworks.com/w/page/11682446/Acquaintance-Sexual-Predators
The suicide admittedly occurred the day right after Hunter's warning to the killer, but it also occurred on Valentine's Day, which Cook believes is noteworthy as a signal of Helgoth's true motivations.

The stun gun possibility is promoted in Dec of 97,

Stun gun maybe used on JonBenet:
http://extras.denverpost.com/news/jon160.htm
"We've been told affirmatively that one was used," Ramsey attorney Hal Haddon told The Denver Post on Friday after the newspaper inquired about the use of a stun gun in the murder. Law enforcement sources said the possibility that a stun gun was used has come up in deliberations over the murder.

.......

Haddon faulted police for asking neighbors about a "stun gun," then failing to ask them to keep it confidential because it gives away a possible key piece of evidence in the murder. "I don't know why the police chose to go door to door asking those questions, but they interrogated the Ramseys about it sometime this summer and asked them to keep it confidential, and we honored that," Haddon told The Post.

......

"The fact that it's leaked out is unfortunate," Hunter said. "If anyone did have such a weapon, it would be in the trash tonight." He declined to comment further."

A year later, July 98 the Tracey Film had featured commentary by BM and indentified the animal hairs as Wolfdog, rather than Beaver:

Wolfdog Fur. Helgoth owned two wolfdog puppies whose fur, according to the Tracey [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuwnlXDecCA"]documentary[/ame], "exactly matched" the 2 different colors of animal hairs found on JBR's body.

Ramseys tell their story
Bryan Morgan, a partner in Haddon's firm, is interviewed in the film. In it, he defends the couple's decision to retain attorneys early in the investigation, "especially in a case where media attention reaches near hysteria and especially in a case of media attention which from the outset portrays certain people as guilty."

Thanks, Tadpole. My memory ain't what it used to be, but I seem to recall all these pieces of evidence being promoted by the Ramsey spinsters and not Boulder LE. Isn't it funny how they turn it around to look like LE did all the leaking?

I did record the show, CanMan, but it was accidentally deleted so I am waiting for ID to run it again. They usually air the re-runs fairly quickly so I'm hoping that I (or anyone) can make it available to everyone.

Awe, see why I love you Beck...LOL... CanMan, I didnt get to see it either. I watched clips and saw enough to know it was all BS and one sided. They didnt try to let people make up their own minds. I also read the transscripts, but there is nothing like actually seeing the show... Oh bother!

Aggie, I can truly say that my blood pressure went through the roof! Had a migraine for two days as well. My daughter, who knows very well how I feel about this case, said mom, what makes you believe the Ramseys are guilty? "This program makes them look like they were the victims". I just asked her if she had a week or two to listen to the truth.

Thank you to anyone who goes out of thier way to tape and put it on youtube so the people like myself who don't get it or missed it may also view more then just the 3 minute clips .. Thank You
