Found another Mychal Peterson FB page. Is that the same tattoo on their shoulder. The dragon? Hard to see and remember it’s a selfie, so the image is reversed. Log into Facebook
According to news reports, it sounds like the freezer was in an outbuilding or garage, so it might have been accessible to people not connected to the family that used to live there. Never know what might be found in severe hoarding situations. The remains and the meat in that freezer could...
Human head, hands found in freezer at recently-sold Colorado house
Authorities are now investigating a possible homicide after the grisly discovery at a home on Pinyon Avenue in Grand Junction that neighbors said had recently been sold.
A neighbor, who declined to be identified, told KREX that...
I had the same reaction when I read Cedars comment so I went back through the articles. I think that statement came from this quote:
“Hoss said he reported his friend missing when Fitzpatrick didn’t return from an extended camping trip to the desert state park. He said he usually wouldn’t be...
In my opinion, there is no way in hello that this is an accident, a wilderness misadventure. They didn’t go hiking in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in the heat of the summer. That’s just ridiculous. Fang had already commented about the temperamental nature of the water and power supply at...
That would be pretty dangerous for the volunteers. The terrain is pretty rough. It might be better to call in a professional search organization like Tim Miller and Texas EquuSearch Search And Recovery Non-Profit
Great post! I added the point where the fence crosses the road to the case map, along with a screenshot of your post. I also noted another spot where it looks like the dirt road from Pinyon Wash is blocked by debris.
I posted about the elevations of Harper flat vs where JRF was found. In the case map, you can switch the ‘base map’ to show the elevations. It looks like the approximate location of the car was at about 2400 feet and the remains were at about 1400 feet.
They were on Ivanhoe Mine Rd in the Old Dale Mining District. From the map, it’s south of Rt 62 and about 20 miles east of 29 Palms. To return to Morongo Valley they would have gone north to 62, then west on 62. Instead of simply continuing west on 62, they turned north on Adobe Rd, towards...
From the photos, it looks like they were in the northeast section of Joshua Tree National Park on the 21st. That’s the day the photo in the Old Dale Mining district was taken. Then the video on Adobe Rd. in 29 Palms was taken that evening. It looks like they were exploring the northeast area...
I think the ‘several miles’ comment was simply the sheriff’s office spokesperson being evasive. I believe it’s been reported that the remains were found about 2 miles from the truck. And that’s what is depicted on the map in the CBS article.
We don’t know who found the truck, but it was a...
I had that same problem with interpreting the map. You can switch the case map to view elevations and it looks like the truck was found at an elevation of 2400 feet while the remains were at 1400. So yes, they could have been washed down into the valley.
