Yes!!! Tammy's troop had their ducks in a row and came in today with flying colours!!!! All did SO WELL!!!!
And (in my opinion) JP lost all credibility with this jury when he stopped the dispatch calls before "gun or rifle" was actually stated. That is going to be a tough hurdle for him to...
Does anyone remember Tylee saying in a phone call (?) between LV and MG: "not me Mom, I'm not a zombie"? I thought that would have come through MG's testimony. Maybe I am misremembering?
3 highlights for me today: (1) J P needs to be more careful/selective in his cross because Hart schooled him and in my opinion, JP's cross of Hart strengthened the state's case immeasurably. (2) Colby's conviction/statement that he believes LV was absolutely influenced by CD. Mike drop. And...
I thought Lindsay Blake did GREAT today with her direct of MG! Everything went back to CD.
JP is trying to discredit MG but I thought MG came across as authentic (wounded for sure but authentic). I just hope more evidence will come that also supports CD driving the bus.
And ... trust JP to...
I don't think JP is doing a great job here - in cross, he continually restates all of the prosecution's evidence (giving it even greater resonance) before his "by this, you aren't trying to say ...." "questions". JP's comments may ultimately be disregarded by the jury - so what they could recall...
I think in arguing the state's motion, JP seemingly forgot that the rules of evidence actually control what he can ask on cross - and the Judge has the right to limit that cross based on the Idaho rules, and relevance. It seems JP wants to damage MG's credibility by showing her story evolved...
Prior said that disclosing in open court whether he has retained a mitigation specialist would reveal his defence strategy - I am not understanding this because I thought it was an expectation on counsel to do so?
In SS's interview with Nate, she mentions that it was Tylee who tracked down the kennel where Charles had placed Bailey when Charles left Houston. Tylee did this so they could bring Bailey home. Does anyone know about this - just curious and thanks all!
I am worried. Not because of the testimony which I heard every night. I'm a true believer in her guilt. It's just fear - Casey Anthony. OJ. A jury may see things differently. So hoping the prosecution knocks it out of the ballpark. Would have loved Mr. Meadors to handle the closing. May...
Does anyone believe that CD's children will consider the bruising is perhaps indicative of something other than the natural death they cling to? If so, even now Tammy is helping her children to learn good from evil.
I know there has been criticism directed at the prosecution team - but it appears from the opening statements and the beautiful photos of JJ and Tylee that they have put the children at the very centre of this trial. It is all about them and Tammy and clearly, the team is standing up for the...
Closed courtroom for jury selection is apparently not the standard in Idaho. I don't like the rules changing for this trial - it seems to me that the same rules should apply to all. If the Idaho bar is questioning this, we should all be concerned.
Canadian lawyer here. In Canadian criminal trials, all witnesses (except experts) are typically excluded prior to their testimony - what the Crown will do is call the mother of the victim (for example) first, and that way the mom can then sit through the trial and there is no risk her testimony...
MOO. AM is pathetically insecure. MM was his rock. He loved Paul. He could not bear for them to know what he had done. He executed them because he knew he was losing Mosell (because of the boat accident), a property that Paul loved, and he knew with his thefts becoming public, he would lose...
WS - the life we all know, BK does not appear to have shared. From your comments, it seems he may have realized he was different. Isolated, awkward, emotionally tortured, rejected, socially inept, perhaps with incessant dark thoughts. What did he have to lose? By committing this evil crime, he...
Hello everyone! I do not know the Idaho rules, but it seems to me that if the lawyers are present during these discussions, they would be compellable witnesses to anything the other defendant said as solicitor client privilege would not extend to admissions/disclosures made by the other...
Just listened to the full audio of today's hearing - it was very clear and I thought the motion to review prior sealing of documents was quite compelling. But again, the Court moved into Chambers to discuss the "evidence" Prior was relying upon for the continuance, and regarding the purpose of...
