I wish there was more information available. I wonder if a note was found? Any informative internet searches? It does seem odd that there is not a missing person webpage, etc etc.
Very weird case. I wonder if he was someone who typically went hiking. Is it possible he could have had a a medical event in the canyon? I wonder why the police conclude that he is voluntarily missing.
I'm glad this case has been solved.
I wonder what the significance of the Oakridge 1992 ring was? She wouldn't have graduated high school in 1992.
I also wonder how they can get fingerprints from "severely decomposed" remains??
The KTLA video is really interesting. But I'm afraid that it (and the accompanying article) may get taken down and then we will have no record of the details of this case. So I am going to write down a few more key points here.
Some more interesting ones:
1) Emilio had recently been served...
Re: Maria Giovanna Evangelista, I hate when there is no information other than the name and bare bones demographics of the missing person. When I look under "Circumstance Notes" and click the link provided, the link is dead. So there is no info at all on this woman!
Here's a link that I just...
Interesting link! The description says, "Vintage pre-owned solid sterling silver CTR shield ring with letters SIG. CTR stands for Choose The Right."
So, I just looked up CTR rings. Looks like it is a ring that many LDS youngsters get starting around age 8. There are adult versions as well...
I did some googling and answered my own question. They are referring to Laura Arroyo and Amanda Gaeke.

Thanks for the link to The Charley Project. They say, "Two other young girls disappeared from the San Diego area around that time, one a few weeks before Rasheeyda disappeared and one a few months after. Both of them were later found murdered, and separate suspects are now in prison for the...
The email from the Sheriff's Dept to the reporter claims that the human remains are still being identified. But that CBS8 link says that JRF family members said that JRF's ID was found with the remains. So, that would definitely go against my Mickey Guidry theory.
Would Fang Jin or JRF's remains already be this decomposed if they disappeared in July?? If this is an older jawbone, I am guessing it might be Mickey Guidry's.
I was looking at the map and immediately thought of Mickey Guidry's case. This is because I go camping at Anza Borrego 1-2x per year, and I've been thinking about Mickey Guidry ever since. He was a troubled16 year old boy who got stranded in his vehicle in the area. The vehicle was located...
Human remains (jawbone etc) were found along the path between Harper Canyon and Harper Flat. There are two missing people who disappeared in July 2023, Fang Jin and John Root Fitzpatrick (JRF). JRF's vehicle was found near Harper Canyon and the bones were found on the trail in early September...
Can't read most of this without paying but it appears that the spouse applied for him to be declared deceased in 2009. In The Matter Of Rolando Cebreros-batiz
So much missing in this story... is the friend missing as well, and what is his version of events? What car were they driving in? What car did they try to buy? Are those vehicles accounted for?
I really wish that we still had robust local newsrooms in this country. To me, this deserves to be publicized a bit. When a body is found in a public space, and the public is asked to help ID the person, I think the public deserves a little more information once the decedent is identified.
Thank you for sharing your sister's story. However, I can think of at least one other very mysterious case from the UCLA campus. Michael Negrete disappeared from his on-campus dorm in 1999 and was never seen again! I'm not implying any connection between the cases other than the general...
