    The book says there "was definitely no mutilation, dismemberment" It doesn't say there was definitely no sexual assault, only that there did not appear to be, "as far as they can tell".

    I wondered about the DNA/rope thing too. You'd think rope would be loaded with DNA. Makes me think he used the plastic coated galvanised clothesline, nothing with an exposed weave. It would explain why it was being confused with phone cable too.
