ACTIVE SEARCH AUSTRALIA - Jessica Zrinski, 30, last seen in Bossley Park area of Sydney, 25 Nov 2022

From the above link.
Initial enquiries suggest it may not be related but it's been sent off for forensic examination.

It's unclear if anything else was discovered.

The hunt for a missing Sydney woman not seen for six months moved recently to a state forest near Jenolan Caves.

An extensive three-day search was launched on Friday for Jessica Zrinski. The 30-year-old has not been seen since November 28, when CCTV captured her getting into a blue Holden Commodore station wagon in a hotel car park in Sydney's west and being driven along the M4 and Great Western Highway to the Mountains.

Homicide squad commander Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said the search focused on the Hampton State Forest about 25km north of Jenolan.

"We believe Jessica may have entered or visited the Hampton State Forest sometime after she was last seen ... in late November," Det Supt Doherty said.

Detectives were pursuing all lines of inquiry including the possibility Ms Zrinski met with foul play, he said.

Hampton State Forest is about 30 minutes from where I live. I wonder what has led them there???

The forest is outside of Oberon meaning Jessica would have travelled over the Blue Mountains. There are many speed cameras and only one route. The final camera is just before Jenolan Caves Rd turn off travelling west along the Great Western Highway approximately 30 minutes from where they were searching.

But 6 months later. If it were car GPS data, footage of the blue commodore or a phone ping one would think that the police would have searched the area a long time ago. What other evidence leads Police to think this is her last known whereabouts. That area is popular with campers, maybe someone has stumbled across her possessions. IMO the police think they will find her remains there which indicates foul play.

The forests around Oberon are becoming well known for disappearances.

Why would someone who has nothing to hide refuse to talk to police. Beggars belief and raises suspicion of involvement immediately. Have police confirmed the driver of the blue vehicle is the owner of the blue and was he in the vehicle with the missing lady?.
From the link above:

"We know who that man is, he is the registered owner of that vehicle," Glen Browne, Detective Chief Inspector of State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, said.

"He has declined to say anything to us about his movements that night and what happened to Jessica."

Certainly seems like a suspicious party… police must really not have any evidence against him if they haven’t made a move at all. Can’t one be held on suspicion of murder if police intend to press charges soon?

Or there’s more going on behind the scenes than what seems to be the obvious answer…

From the immediately two preceding posts:
"Why would someone who has nothing to hide

raises suspicion of involvement immediately
."

In your opinion. There are other missing person
threads on this forum, detailing how NSW Police
acted to inappropriately cast suspicion on persons
who had periferal involvement in other unrelated
missing person cases - if you were from NSW, you
would know there has been a large court-ordered
payout made in compensation to at least one such
unfairly smeared 'suspect'!

Amongst the various possibilities are that;
1. She was murdered by the so far un-named guy
who owns the blue car.
2. She was murdered by some other person after
she left the car of the un-named guy who owns
the blue car.
3. She asked for a lift from the guy who owns the
blue car with the intention of walking into the far
bush to die and she did walk into the bush and die.

Absent a Coronial Inquiry, the guy who owns the
blue car is under no obligation 'to say anything
about his movements that night'. If he is smart,
he'll stick to that.

IMO the un-named guy who owns the blue car likely
acknowledged picking Jessica Zrinski up (in regard
of alleged video of her entering his car, he could
hardly deny it) and he probably told police where
she got out of his car - which would be a reasonable
thing for him to do.
IMO, too bad police are failing to reveal the spot
where she left the blue car - if that were known,
some member of the public might actually go
searching the area and find her remains (although,
of course, then the NSW Govt might actually have
to payout some or all of that half million reward...).

In regard to this previously posted media report:
does anyone know the specific location of where
that media report's picture is of the briefing/form
up point for the searchers is specifically located?

Agree. The two small trees seen standing in the
gap between larger trees in the photograph
background (when zooming into the photograph
background), match these specific small trees in
your suggested location:
Google Maps
(The overhead cabling seen in the photograph
background is also present above that Google View
URL, when pivoting the view and looking up).

The location as a meet up place is conveniently
close to all the Hampton State Forest off to the
west.

Video released by NSW police in a bid to find Jessica Zrinski, 30, shows her travelling in a blue Holden Commodore through Horsley Park in Sydney on 28 November 2022 and through Mount Victoria the next morning around the time she went missing. Authorities have also announced a $500,000 reward for information one the first anniversary of her disappearance.

Hmm. Interesting footage. Thank you for posting, @dotr !

I’m going to link to the CCTV footage that the ABC posted too because it shows a slightly extended cut of the blue car entering the fuel station at night (the night JZ went missing). It gives a clear view of the vehicle’s front exterior. And the exterior looks pretty clean, IMO.

On the day footage when the car drives into the fuel station (the day after), you can see that there is grass, or a small branch stuck in the passenger's side door. I imagine if you drove your car into an area with long grass or heavy vegetation, opened and shut the car door, and drove away, a tuft of grass/vegetation would get ripped out and stuck in the door like this.

There is also mud/dirt splashed on the rear of the front left wheel-well, you can see the muddied trim of the passenger side door too. The tyres and wheels appear whitened with use. How one’s car might look after a drive down a dirt road, IMO. The rear window appears to have mud splashed on it too, but that may have been there the night before. There’s no footage to compare that to.

MOO.

VIDEO: Police release CCTV footage today showing Jessica Zrinski in the car's passenger seat at Horsley Park and Mount Victoria.

Is she still sitting in the passenger seat in the daytime footage from the “day after”? I couldn’t really tell.
I don't think that she is, but it is so difficult to tell.

If you look at the ABC footage (linked above) where Mr Blue Car drives into the fuel station at night, you can very clearly see JZ in the passenger seat. Her pale hair and skin is contrasted against the black seats.

In the daytime footage it appears there's just.. a black seat? Maybe? I can't tell if there is something there, or if it's pareidolia.
