Blaze Bernstein was home for the holidays from college, according to his family. He went out on Tuesday, Jan. 2 and was last seen entering Borrego Park in Foothill Ranch, Lake Forest area of Orange County. That was at 11 p.m. and he has not been seen since.

I don't like that Blaze's friend waited in the car while he went into the park to meet someone. This doesn't sound good, IMO. This one is close to home...I'll be following it closely.

This thread is dedicated to discussion of the disappearance and homicide of Blaze Bernstein.

No rudeness, bickering or personalizing. Stick to discussing this case, not racism, slavery, the Confederate flag, hairstyles, left/right, north/south, politics, etc.

OK Everyone,

Stop with the constant Catholic Church stuff.

We know the Catholic Church's position on Homosexuals.

Let's wait and see if the motive for the murder of Blaze has anything to do with religion.

Stop posting bulletins for the Catholic Church. Stop posting anything that has people's names on it that are either minors or have nothing to do with the case.

I am not going to say you can't mention the Catholic Church. I really want to give you all a bit of leeway to discuss all reasonable motives but I will shut down the whole religion discussion if everyone keeps harping on it and arguing with each other.

Move on, please.

Friday, April 8th:
*Pretrial Readiness Conference Hearing (@ 9am PT) – CA – Blaze Bernstein (19) (Jan. 2, 2018, Lake Forest; found Jan. 9, 2018; he was stabbed 19 times in his neck; 14 times on the left, 5 on the right & 1 stab wound in his left knee) – *Samuel Lincoln Woodward (20/now 23) arrested & charged (1/17/18) with 1 count of felony murder with a hate crime enhancement for killing someone because of their sexual orientation & sentencing enhancement-personal use of a knife. Plead not guilty (again on 11/9/18). $5M bail, bail revoked (11/9/18).
Could be sentenced from 26 years to life in prison without parole.
Trial was set to begin on 3/4/22 continued to 4/27/22.

2/25/22 Update: Motion for continuance. Next pretrial trial setting conference hearing on 2/28/22 @ 9am. 2/28/22 Update: Motion for trial continuance-granted. Today’s hearing was cancelled & also 3/4/2022 Jury Trial hearing. Next hearing 3/4/22 for pretrial trial setting conference hearing @ 9am.
3/4/22 Update: Hearing was held. Next pretrial readiness conference hearing on 4/8/22 & trial set to begin on 4/27/22.

So disappointed there's nothing about this in the news! Did the jury trial even start yesterday?

I meant since he was specifically targeted for his orientation, we can talk about it right? So the warning to not are no longer valid right
