I don't know, maybe DM waited outside in a vehicle while the other guy went in, DM thought they wee there to steal stuff but other guy came out with the girl? To the girl it would seem like two guys kidnapped her?

A suspect in the kidnapping of has been apprehended, but another is still at large.
Tobias D. Summers, 30, remains at large but a 29-year-old by the name of Daniel Martinez has been arrested on suspicion of the crimes.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Robbery Homicide Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are asking for the public’s help in locating 30-year-old Tobias Dustin Summers.

Summers is wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl from the Northridge Area. He is described as a male White, 160 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. Summers is described as having close cropped hair.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2013 around 1 a.m., a 10-year-old girl was last seen by her mother in bed at their residence in the 8000 block of Oakdale Avenue in the Northridge area. Around 3:30 a.m., the girl’s mother went to check on her and discovered that she was missing.

he very well could also go by "danny". i know a lot of hispanic people on FB actually shorten their last names... for example: Dominguez, they might use Dmgz. i think finding him on fb would be a needle in a haystack. too bad TS's friends list is hidden! wait -- has anyone checked his myspace friends list?

my theory is still gang related. this was either an initiation, or a child *advertiser censored*/trafficking crime. DM let her go but wasn't supposed to. He's now wanted by the gang, and some of the members may have told LE this where he was when they questioned them over the weekend. So LE got DM but are "protecting" him/his idnetity from gang retaliation in exchange for his cooperation finding TS and maybe others higher up. although I'd assume the gang knows who he is and what he looks like. MOO

Between 2004 and 2012, Martinez was convicted of burglary, petty theft, grand theft, resisting a police officer and unlawfully entering a property, records showed. In April 2012, he was convicted of threats of death or great bodily injury.

It's unclear exactly how long either suspect has spent behind bars. But it appears Summers received an eight-month prison sentence in the petty theft case, and Martinez was sentenced to 16 months in prison in the grand theft case.

"While the LAPD record of Martinez's arrest showed his residence as a home in the 23300 block of Hatteras Street, a man who came to the door there Monday afternoon was surprised to hear of the arrest.

The man would not give his name and would not say how he knew Martinez.

On the street of modest single-family homes in Northridge where Martinez was arrested, residents described a close-knit and normally quiet community.

It was unclear how Martinez ended up on the street.

Ron Sires, who's lived in the neighborhood about 20 years, said he'd recently called police on a man and two women who had been living out of a Toyota Corolla for about two weeks.

Sires said he came home about 5 or 5:30 a.m. Sunday and saw undercover police officers arresting someone near that car.

Detectives could not confirm whether that was Martinez, who according to police arrest records was taken into custody at 4:25 a.m."

Neighbor Alicia Stardevant lives next door to the family's home; a wall separates her bedroom from Isabel's. On Saturday she woke up to noises outside her window.

"I noticed two male voices outside my bedroom window and I also noticed their dogs just going crazy, too," Stardevant said. "I didn't really think anything of it because it was light outside and I thought maybe someone was going for a walk."

so sad. they could have been intercepted and Isabel could have been kept safe at home. but 2 men - interesting. those crimes are so rare - non-family abduction and taken right out of the house. There was another one of a 6 yo girl in Missouri. I found out about it on a family member of TS' FB page. Taken out of the home at 6AM. not sure if it was 2 men though. It was an RSO. Maybe 2 men is the MO - one to guard and possibly be armed in case they are interrupted, one to get the girl out. This could be the MO for kidnapping for trafficking purposes, by a large powerful international organization.
