Canada - 3 Schoenborn kids murdered, Merritt, BC, 6 April 2008 *Insanity*

Whoa whoa whoa there.:eek::eek::eek:

Who is more insane? This guy or the people responsible for granting him his request? Can you imagine being the person who has to wait on him while he has coffee and scones?

Glad to see they know he has anger issues. That's one of the most frightening things I have ever read.

Dr. Johann Brink, director of the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Port Coquitlam, B.C., where Schoenborn is receiving treatment, told the review board on Tuesday that his aggression has declined, his disorder is in remission, and he has been moved to a low-security unit.

Brink supported supervised outings, but said Schoenborn must be closely monitored because he has "unresolved anger issues."

"He's no longer of that intensity, but I think the underlying proclivity is still there," Brink said during the hearing. "In my view, he needs some significant more work."

After reading this in the above link I am in shock and feel sorry for the people in that town. I think Dr.Brink should take him to his own house for the weekends before he lets a fiend like this walk out of that hospital.Seems like he learned for his mistake at the first meeting last year when he lost his cool.Sounds like the same BS cons say to get out on parole and then re offend usually within months of their release.Mental illness should not be a get out of jail(or hospital)free card. Those 3 children will remain dead, he should remain in jail for life IMO.

ITA. Wouldn't it be nice if these doctors who decide that mentally incompetent/legally insane offenders no longer represent risk so society (or diminished risk to society, as in this case) were required to house these offenders in their house? Would be interesting to see how many of these doctors would reach the same conclusions?

Yeah let's see how many of those doctors raise their hands to volunteer for that!

Morenol you are right, even if he is not any more danger HE DOESN'T DESERVE ANY KIND OF FREEDOM!!!!!!!

I am sorry that dead penalty is not any more for murderer!!!!!!!

From last month:

Allan Schoenborn still in custody but could be allowed escorted outings

A panel has decided against changing custodial conditions for a British Columbia man who killed his three children during a psychotic break.

The B.C. Review Board released its decision on Friday, following an annual review of Allan Schoenborn's case.

It says the 49-year-old must stay at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam, but could be allowed escorted visits into the community.

Darcie Clarke expressed outrage in a statement released on Friday night.

“He could be in our community at any time without the public’s knowledge because the Review Board does not have the public’s safety as their paramount concern. I live in the Tri-Cities and I will now live in consistent fear that he will move ahead with his threats against me, because as he has said, I am ‘unfinished business,'” she wrote.

Dave Teixeira, who speaks for the family, echoed those concerns.

“When he committed the murders almost 10 years ago, he spent 10 days hiding out from police, evading police in the woods,” he said.

Under the conditions of his leave, Schoenborn may not use drugs or alcohol unless directed by a doctor; may not possess firearms, explosives or weapons; and is barred from having any direct or indirect contact with the family of his victims.
