''Police in Barrie hope the public can help locate a missing woman last seen leaving a friend's home earlier this month.

Police say 26-year-old Autumn hasn't been seen or heard from since she left a house in the Burton Avenue and Robinson Street area on June 9.

A family member reported her missing the following Monday afternoon.

Police say she was wearing a black hoodie, shorts, slip-on Puma sandals and carried a black/tan purse.

Anyone with information on Autumn's whereabouts is urged to call 911.''

Police in Barrie hope the public can help locate a missing woman last seen more than 10 days ago, while her family fears she is being held against her will.

Video surveillance shows 26-year-old Autumn Shaganash leaving the family house and moments later meeting with someone on Burton Street around 9 p.m. on June 9.

Her cousin says Shaganash messaged that evening to say she was heading to a bar.

Still no cause of death for 37 yr old female found on Hwy 400 this January. Or identity of female body found on Hwy 26?

...“There is no evidence that human trafficking is involved, but we obviously are going to look at every possible angle here,” he said. “There has been no confirmation that she is being held against her will.”

Leon also spoke of the concern for how long it took for police to be made aware of her disappearance.

“It was over 48 hours before we were made involved and by then she could be anywhere in the country," he said. "She could have hopped on a bus or something. It's not like we’ve had a sighting and now we can focus on that area.”

With video, hopefully they can figure out who she was meeting across the street and direction of travel.

A video shared with Global News shows Shaganash leaving her home shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday. Minutes later, she can be seen on surveillance video passing a nearby convenience store and crossing the street to meet someone.

Also:
Shaganash’s sister Lili-Anne Moore says the last time she heard from her sister was on Saturday, June 10, just after 9:30 a.m. asking her for a ride, but she says her sister’s phone had been turned off when she tried to respond.

This specifies it was only 3 minutes after she wrote asking for a ride that her phone was off (or dead?)
The missing woman's sister says she received a text from Shaganash on the morning of June 10, but says three minutes later, the phone was off, and her sister was unreachable, which her family calls a red flag.

I'm confused with some of her photos. Jaw line is similar, but others?? The photo with the large fresh forehead scar, is that from a blow to head ie car wreck? Could she have episodic memory loss? Why isn't there a more intense search or news coverage? Why do family think she is part of human trafficking vs lost and injured? If Barrie PS have commented on human trafficking known to this area, surely they have contacts in other policing services who might have ideas "where" to look??
Did they ping her cell phone? Did she have any bank cards? What about the bar security cameras?

Barrie police are hoping anyone who attended a recent awareness walk in the city may have footage that could help them in the search for Autumn Shaganash.

The investigation into the disappearance of the 26-year-old Barrie woman is continuing and police are now asking that anyone who may have attended the Walk to End ALS held at Sunnidale Park on June 10 to check their photos or videos from the Sunnidale Road/Letitia Street area between 10 a.m. and noon to call the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025, ext. 2160.

One would hope the BPS would give a live update to reinforce Autumn's photo etc. People need to get communicating to spread the word and her face, or she will be another number in the loss of our Canadian women. Please say this isn't happening in this case.......

Based on them not even allowing comments on their posts about her, it sure seems like they're going to just continue to do these little releases of 'looking for info' or tiny tidbits and not much more. But that's just IMO.
