CO CO - Scott Lee Kimball - Need Help IDing Photos Of UID Women

Oooh...so she thinks that Emry is also one of the four UIDs? I think Leann's nose is rather wide and flat with a more bulbous tip. There is a resemblance, but I don't know. Surely, LE would be able to tell if the photos were of her since they already have her photos!

Much more info. Apparently this con man conned the Feds giving him the opportunity to kill.

But his most masterful deception may have started in 2002, when Kimball persuaded the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office to let him out of a federal detention center early, so he could work as an informant in a murder-for-hire case.
Soon, three people close to Kimball had disappeared, according to an affidavit filed in federal court: a pretty young mother the FBI had asked him to keep an eye on; a teenage girl whose mother Kimball later married and his own uncle, who was living in Kimball's Westminster home.
All three were last seen alive with Kimball, whom the FBI now is investigating on possible charges of kidnapping, murder-for-hire and tampering with a federal witness, according to the affidavit.

Apparently, the FEEBS were NOT doing the necessary checking into this guy's background. One of the articles I read said that all informants are checked out thoroughly. Well, I guess this guy just kind of slipped through the cracks, huh? And did the FBI NOT notice that these people went missing and were last seen alive with this creep?:confused:

Kind of makes me wonder how many other murderers are out there courtesy of the FBI!:behindbar

This reminds me of the serial killer case of the man posing as a freelance photographer William Richard Bradford where the FBI has posted a large amount of pics of women that have not been identified and their pictures were found in his possesion.

One of the reasons it reminds me of this case is because the pics of the 4 unidentifieds girls, they seem posed to me and they are kind of made up....(make up. hair etc)

I wonder if he posed as a photographer too?

A Colorado man authorities say is a lifelong con artist and who is now a suspect in the disappearances of four people is also accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a Lafayette optometrist, court records show.

Police said Kimball had taken bank information out of Armstrong's office and used it to gain access to a money market account containing $140,000. He succeeded in siphoning off nearly $56,000 of that money by writing checks to various accounts and friends, police said.

A pair of dads desperate to find their daughters who disappeared several months apart in 2003 began their own investigation after they realized the same man was the last person to see the young women alive.

Because of their detective work, the FBI has now joined the case and the suspect the fathers have identified is being investigated in connection with the disappearances of at least six people.

Jennifer Marcum was 25 and the mother of a 9-year-old boy when she vanished Feb. 17, 2003. She was also a stripper who had befriended Scott Kimball, an ex-con who was on the FBI payroll as an informant.

Kaysi McLeod, 19, was "the type of person who could walk into a crowded room and people would notice her," her best friend, Tabetha Morton, says. McLeod was last seen Aug. 23, 2003. Her mother, Lori, was Kimball's fiance and Kimball was supposed to drive McLeod to work that day.

Kimball did a stellar job of getting himself out of jail so he could continue to prey on people. I mean, it takes your breath away to think how he conned the feds. Lesson learned, I suppose, to make sure they fully vet someone who volunteers in this manner.

The FBI said Kimball was not on its payroll but was paid only when he brought valuable information to the bureau. Another of Kimball's ex-wives, Lori McLeod, said the FBI paid Kimball about $4,500 a month and at one point gave him a $20,000 bonus.

McLeod told ABC News that she met Kimball's handler at the FBI and dropped Kimball at the FBI offices several times. "All of these girls were being killed while he was getting money from the FBI," she said.

 Omigosh...this whole thing is unbelievable! Thank you, SuzieQ and others who have brought this thing to light.

There needs to be a congressional investigation into what the FBI and CIA are condoning, in my opinion!

The FBI is searching 10 acres of property and two unoccupied homes in Westminster for evidence related to the disappearance of a man linked to a suspected serial killer.

FBI agents have focused on a home on 146th Avenue and Huron Street, which used to belong to Terry Kimball, said FBI spokeswoman Cathy Wright.

Terry Kimball, 60, vanished on Sept. 1, 2004. He was living with his nephew, Scott Lee Kimball, shortly before he disappeared, the FBI said. Scott told his wife, who was also living in the home, that Terry won the Ohio state lottery and ran away to Mexico with a stripper, according to a search warrant affidavit. (more at link)

I wonder which one of his victims they may have found?

GRAND COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police and FBI agents found human remains outside of Moab that they believe may belong to the victim of a serial killer.

An ongoing investigation conducted by Denver FBI agents of Scott Kimball, a suspected killer, led them to the rugged desert cliffs about 30 miles outside Moab.

Mr. Kimball has been working with LE...and there might be a second set of bones they are looking for?

Nyland said one victim is thought to be Emry, a woman whose car was found abandoned in 2003 near Harley Dome, on Interstate 70 a few miles from Colorado.
A positive identification has not been made.
The sheriff said if the remains of a second victim are found, he is not sure which victim it might be.
Nyland said his office learned of the possible murders about six months ago, when the FBI called saying the agency had information implicating a man in some killings. Court records show that investigators found information about three of the four missing people in Kimball's laptop computer.
