chico just posted this on the media thread....

imo, you can bet that these Nextel records will be requested now, if they haven't already...i think it's strange that this 2nd autopsy hasn't been released yet....Baden said more than two weeks ago, it would be "shortly"

The feds' interest in Savio's death comes as Will County officials are reviewing the 2004 coroner jury's conclusion in the case. Savio's body was removed from a Hillside grave, but the results of a new autopsy have not yet been made public.

thanks Suzie:)

since you're here, do you remember the date that DP & Staci got married?...i can check it out, but thought you might know it off the top of your head...

October 18, 2003, six months before Kathleen died.

thank you:)
i was going to search it out here, but got sidetracked on other posts...i thought Stacy & DP were married at the time, just wasn't quite sure the dates jibed w/my thinking...

You know the special agent that testified that there were phone records on the way? He also told the coroners inquest that he did not see any signs of foul play. This special agent conveniently replaced the original one at the last minute. I know I dug up more info on this guy in the beginning.

Steve C. has said numerous times that he really wants to see the pictures that the inquest jurors saw, because he says the jurors descriptions do not match with what he saw when he found Kathleen. Remember Steve C says she was sitting up, leaning to one side, head hanging down. The jurors said the pictures show Kathleen face down. I think Kathleen was moved around between the time Steve found her and when the crime scene pics were taken. More evidence of staging.

Will County officials have always stated that the results of the second autopsy won't be released to the public. They will only be released directly to the GJ. And that may or may not have already been done.

I think I remember that one. I really like it.

Leila

Greta interviewed one juror, Walter Lee James, who was one the coroner's jury for Kathleen Savio's death. This is sort of vague - he said there were family members there, but he didn't say if they testified. He said they had 7 cases that day and devoted about 30 - 45 minutes to each one. Mr. James confirmed that there was one police officer on the jury who told jurors that Drew Peterson was a "good guy." They only had 3 options: natural, accidental, homicide. Mr. James said the jury didn't feel they had enough evidence to say homicide. If there had been "undetermined" as an option, he feels most jurors would have voted for that.

Mr. James said that there was one autopsy photo that showed Kathleen lying face down in an empty bathtub and there was a lot of blood. Mr. James said he questioned that photo because he reasoned that if she had drowned and the water had drained out, the blood would have been diluted. Several times Mr. James said that the jurors were laymen and didn't have the knowledge to determine homicide.

Mark Furhman reported that the police office should have recused himself as it was a conflict of interest, and also that the police officer should have pointed out that the bruises and abrasions were consistent with a struggle.

just ran across the above post by Leila, in my search (can't remember what i was searching for now, ugh).....i remember reading this post, & thought it should be brought back here...shame they were only given those 3 options...i guess if they hadn't agreed on it, it would have BECOME "undetermined"..??? how would that have worked, or could it even?

Below is a post I made in the Will Coutny Coroners office thread. Bob Diehl is the Special agent who testified.

Below is a post I made in the Will Coutny Coroners office thread. Bob Diehl is the Special agent who testified.
I thought the agent who testified at the Coroner's Jury was some guy named Hardy?

Hmmmm, there was the original Special agent, then there was the replacement, then there was a LE officer on the Jury. The only name I'm seeing on the Coroners report is Bob Diehl's.

You are correct, I found the below post. So why is Bob Diehl listed as a witness with ISP on the coroners report and not Hardy?:

Illinois State Police Special Agent Herbert B. Hardy had told the coroners jury that Petersons whereabouts were accounted for at the time of Kathleens death

okay I did find an original article that states the above
