MA MA - Jennifer Fay, 16, Brockton, 14 Nov 1989

On Friday, Michelle Littlefield, a private investigator who has been working Fay’s case since 2004, said they believe Fay’s remains were buried on private property in Brockton. Fay was initially believed by police to have run away from home.

Littlefield has been working closely with the Brockton property owner who has allowed investigators to search part of the property. Littlefield said she is hoping further searches of the property would be done in the future.

BROCKTON, Mass. —They held candles, wore her name and picture on their clothing and said prayers for the missing woman.

It has been 26 years since 16-year-old Jennifer Fay went missing on Nov. 14, 1989, in Brockton.

On Saturday evening, family and friends gathered in Brockton to take part in what has become an annual candlelight vigil and walk, our news partners at The Enterprise reported.

27 years later, Brockton still asking: Where is Jennifer Fay?

The mystery has now spanned 27 years, and it continues to torment the family and friends of Jennifer Lynn Fay, a Brockton teenager who went missing without a trace.

“You wake up everyday wondering if anyone is going to call you and tell you where she is,” said Dottie MacLean, Jennifer’s mother, fighting back tears. “I’ve always wished that she would be the one calling me. But I don’t believe that’s going to happen.”

An annual candlelight vigil was held Monday at St. Edith Stein Church to remember Jennifer, a blond-haired, blue-eyed 16-year-old from Brockton. More than 50 people marched around the neighborhood to retrace the steps Jennifer took on Nov. 14, 1989, walking to what they said was her last known location, just one block away from her Brockton home.

Michelle Littlefield of Taunton became involved in the Fay case in 2005 as a private investigator. Littlefield, who helped lead the vigil walk, said the latest news in the Fay case is that private investigators working for the family have turned over information that Massachusetts State Police and Brockton police are now working “diligently” on.

“It is significant progress to have all three teams working collaboratively to get the case solved,” Littlefield said on Monday. “It is also very encouraging to see information continue to come in, and the case being actively investigated after 27 years. ... Leads continue to come in, and we are looking for those who were involved to come forward and corroborate the information we’ve already obtained.”

Brockton mayor: Playground to be named after missing city girl
A Brockton playground that recently underwent renovations will now be named after a teenager from the city who mysteriously vanished in 1989 and was never seen again.

Brockton Mayor Bill Carpenter announced during his inaugural speech on Monday that the city would be naming the recently renovated playground at McKinley Park in honor of Jennifer Lynn Fay. At age 16, Fay disappeared from the city’s North Side on Nov. 14, 1989, in a case that was first treated as a runaway child, even though her family always believed that foul play was involved

Here is an article from 2019 about Jennifer's Disappearance 'Way too long' -- three decades later, Brockton's Jennifer Fay still missing

Her sister Yvette is very active in her case. She is also one of the admins of the Massachusetts Missing FB page.
She is also doing a live interview this Sunday night at 9pm with Jason Hebert on Youtube.

Someone knows something - it's time to speak up.
