Remains found in northeast Mercer County on private property about 3pm today. No word yet on who they may belong to. Posting here since Sebastian was reported missing from this county in 2018.

These remains were found very close to the hog barn that Ty was last at. There are no other missing people in this area that I know of

Hopefully there can be some closure for the family. And hopefully it will lead to a prosecution if there was foul play! Sounds like the chances are it is Sebastian.

I live right here on the Mercer Missouri/Lineville Iowa line, where Ty disappeared from in 2018. I too am wondering if the remains are that of Ty.

MSHP identified the remains Thursday as 24-year-old Sabastian Tyrese Husted, from Centerville, Iowa. Husted has been reported missing since January 2018 by the Centerville, Iowa Police Department.

The remains were discovered Tuesday, April 23, by a turkey hunter on private property in Mercer County, McClatchy News reported.

Authorities said April 25 the remains were identified as Sebastian Tyrese Husted, of Centerville, Iowa. He was reported missing Jan. 22, 2018.

A cause of death has not been confirmed.
