Not to make this a soapbox, but there is an entire Bipolar spectrum....son could have anywhere from very mild Bipolar II to strong Bipolar I. Please just remember that there are tons of people who are very stable on meds/on mild part of spectrum. End of rant :) I just doubt the son being dx bipolar has anything to do with Erica's disappearance.

Absolutely!! There are many successful amazing people who have BP, and you are right there's a whole spectrum. AND even in very bad cases (like my son and my dad) there are so many old (Lithium) and new meds that completely change lives for the better. Thank you! I'm sorry I didn't say it myself earlier.

Yeppers, baby teeth and a lock of their first hair cut too. Even kept the hospital beads and name tags. I got all their little baby hand prints, foot prints, you name it. That's why they make baby books, to put all that in!!

Now beyond baby teeth, I only kept those long enough to verify that the "tooth fairy" was there to leave some money under their pillow. But I have all their letters to Santa, their first handwriting and it just goes on and on.

Okay I know this is way out there but I keep having this thought so I'll throw it out there. It has been said that relatives stated that Casey couldn't stand to look at Erica because she looked so much like Carolyn and she (Casey) hated Carolyn. Why would she hate her (ex?-)sister in law so much? I know it is said that Erica was conceived while Carolyn was having an affair. Is there any possibility that Sandy is Erica's biological father? Maybe that could explain Casey's hatred for Carolyn, the reason they took Erica in, and why Sandy has stayed virtually silent while Casey is running the show. It could also explain the lack of sadness/remorse from Casey for basically handing off her daughter to a complete stranger (if there actually is a Nan, which I am seriously doubting at this point). IDK, like I said it's pretty far fetched but I can't seem to get rid of the thought of it being possibility.

why yes it appears it is owned by them....how odd considering CP seemed to indicate 'they' had nothing to do with other <SP's> family...their family was right there in that house

I wonder if SP & CP and gang lived with his parents at some point prior, since the parents addy comes up attached to SP in some general addy/name searches
...
now why would they buy them a house to live in? If everyone wasn't all hunky dory together?
 
maybe Le needs to check out some other family property in Rowan or other counties...you know, previous knowledge kind of thing, familiarity?

Also, I noticed on CP's Facebook, there was a post made regarding her Uncle. One of her FB friends responded and CP didn't like her comment. CP replied that the commenter was her "Aunt by blood". I put two and two together, the commenters first name matches the lady who originally posted on the ancestry.com board seeking CP and her siblings.

Other than that, I had a hell of a time finding any info on almost everyone in the family.

Has anyone looked into Strawberries family to see if there is an Irene?

One more thought I had, if EP is still alive and had started any social networking accounts she would probably not use the last name Parsons if she doesn't want to be found or bothered. A lot of young ladies use first and middle names so I checked Erica Lynn but nothing came up that looked like it could be her. Maybe she is using the last name of the family she is with? I tried the obvious, Erica Goodman but again nothing looked like her.

After further digging I too came to the realization that "this lady" seems to be around a lot and probably not directly involved in this issue. However, I still wonder if any of the new family she was introduced too were sketchy individuals and perhaps somehow involved.

I too have had difficulty finding anything on Carolyn's family. I used the info in her ancestry forum posts but came up empty. I confirmed in an arrest her maiden name was listed as Medlin so I've ran multiple searches on Ancestry, Intelius, and other sites using various combinations of Carolyn Fielding Medlin Parsons but came up empty handed, no birth record, couldn't even find record of her marriage to WSPII. However, her father was in the service and she may not have been born in NC but in a state that doesn't publicize birth records.

As far as Strawberry, I have done a good amount of searching on her however cannot find anything definitive. Per the interview with CP, she stated they found Strawberry in Carolina Beach. I found one Janice Jackson with addresses in Carolina Beach as well as Harrisburg, Concord, and Kannapolis, the latter 3 all places where numerous Parsons live. This JJ is about 56 - and doesn't appear to be one of the many JJ on the NC DPS Offender site.

I too searched several social media sites using different names Erica may be using but it's virtually impossible to know what she may use. Plus, as someone has said before, many people in this area use their middle names as their first names so it's hard to track people in general.

This. Exactly. I worked at a florist when I lived in Salisbury and I had the hardest time understanding the "county" folk. You almost need a translator.
 
I would love to see CP interviewed about her surrogacy. I would love to hear her explain why she lied and tried to sell that baby to other people.

As far as taking in kids that are not yours. It may be that family asked her to, it may be for the money, it may be for the glory. Could be all of some of those reasons. However, I would not make the birth mother out to be the bad guy or the good guy. I think she was a birth mother that was not involved. I would not put too much in anything she said, she has not been around and did not even know she was missing. But then again, I don't think she was involved in her being missing either.

I JUST FOUND SOME WEIRD COINCIDENCES PERHAPS?

I have been wondering the same thing about the properties so I did some digging. The house on Miller Chapel Rd as people have already said was purchased on 4/21/2011 by SP's parents WP and JP. And yes there have been some changes to the house and grounds both structurally and cosmetically since it was purchased. I too wonder if the parents own the home what the payment situation is, do SP and CP pay rent? You'd think the grandparents would have been around more often and noticed Erica missing. One would think.

Well, the grandparents own 3 homes in Rowan County. The Miller Chapel Rd house; then there is the house where they live in China Grove which by the way has just shy of 6 acres of land and plenty of places to hide a body; and there is a third house where the strangeness comes in. The third house is also in China Grove and was purchased 3/3/11. They bought two houses in two months for other people to live in? Well, I did a reverse search on the third house and almost fell off my chair when the name of the resident came up: IRENE!!! The last name is not Goodman, but still... ironic. So I ran some more searches on the address as I thought I was going crazy and they all came back to IRENE! So then I ran some searches on this Irene and found a 30-ish year old relative and found that relative: "Lived in China Grove, NC ... Asheville, NC"!!!!!!!!!!

So then I had to look further. I located the FB for this 30-ish year old relative with address ties to China Grove and Asheville. She is FB friends with a Parson and some other names linked to the Parson. She, Erica's mother Carolyn, Carolyn's son and several others all have FB friends in common, which to play devil's advocate may not mean much as this area is all related in one way or another. So then I was going through her pictures when I got to one of her father and her comment was talking about how he died and he was with his wife now. So then of course I ran obituary searches and confirmed yes, both of her parents are dead. Irene died in 2007 and her husband in 2010. Can someone please explain to me how the grandparents, WP and JP purchased a home in March of 2011 and the current resident is coming back to a woman named Irene who died in 2007 and her husband who died in 2010??? And yes I checked the sales and tax records on the property, they did not buy the house from this Irene.

I have no idea if any of all that means anything or if it's all just some crazy coincidences but I'm even more baffled than I was before. And I apologize for some of the vagueness in the info above as I'm fairly new here and still not positive on what info I can post on those who have not yet been identified by the media.
 
Did anyone find a Goodman on Miller Chapel Rd.?

Same trouble I ran into. CP's Facebook gives the exact date of her fathers death, I assumed it was her biological father because she had been posting a lot about him prior to that post. I could not find an obituary or anything in the social security death index about him. Strange! Maybe she was referring to her adoptive parent?

Oops I forgot to comment responding to your statement regarding "this lady" possibility introducing shady subjects. Totally possible! Another possibility could be the newly acquainted family could've met EP and wanted a better life for her.
 
Swen... I don't think that is in any way a coincidence. I think you've found something that will be very very important. I'm not sure what to make of all of it yet, but good job!

Wow great work!!! So I'm curious about Irene's obit...any familiar names listed as family?
As far as the China Grove property maybe it was a rental property. Irene could have rented it from the previous owner. That would explain her coming up as the resident but tax records listing other owners.
Can you tell on FB what area this 30-ish women is currently residing in?
