Looks like we're starting #jodiarias Court Standard Time -- LATE...
Court room doors still closed, media and families are waiting to go in.

Good Morning Everyone! Choked up already.

Prayers to Travis, his Family, and his Friends, and All of You who care.

It would be awesome if the judge allowed the Alexander's to show the memorial video they had for Travis. I know it won't happen but everyone in that courtroom should see it.
Happy pictures of Travis and family should be plastered all over the screens.

I'm sure if we all practice The Law of Attraction today, we can make the stun belt go off.
....maybe Quester can set up a separate countdown and we can all chant at the same moment while visiting an alternative astral plane....that would be awesome!

:lol:

OK, will do ... but we'll wait until court is live so we can all see the effect! :giggle:

It had nothing to do with respect, it was to prove Travis faced two minutes of painful terror and two minutes is actually a very long time

I understand that. However, it had a double meaning to many people, myself included.

Poor Samantha. I cannot imagine going through what this beautiful family has been though. :( My prayers are with them today.

I agree. As much as a person knows this day may come and prepares for it, it does not make it any less painful and difficult.

The family is speaking for their murdered brother and for themselves and everything that has been taken away from them.

Hi everyone!

Preparing to witness the Alexanders go through this next emotionally draining phase of this trial. As always, glad to be here with you all for these days.

I'm hoping JSS will keep the courtroom and CMJA under control and perhaps we'll get to see a zap or two with the shock belt (a girl can always hope, right? ;))

What if, as part of the victim impact statements, the court initiated a victim backhand policy to respond to the proven on the stand liar? :liar:
:laughcry:

The details of the policy: For every cruel malicious false statement uttered by the defendant, someone among the victim(s) loved ones, or a chosen volunteer, on behalf of the loved one, may approach the liar and, given the severity of the listed lie, deliver a backhand to match.
:bigstick::whip: Any backhanding volunteers here?

Of course, in this case, we'd be in court for at least six months before the entire list of lies were finished and the backhanders would likely have built up callouses!
:slapfight::smiliescale:

What would happen if the courts granted the victim's family members a chance to publicly question the murderer and the murderer was required to answer fully and honestly?

I wonder if it would deter the shameless efforts to vilify the real victim?
Why should the murderer be immune to the rules of court to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth? :tos:

I have not watched this trial from the beginning. May I ask what all of the references to the color salmon are for?
I believe this refers to the Death Penalty Mitigation Specialist that is part of the Defense Team.

But I could be wrong.

Could someone over in the UK tell Gauntlet that I've got her a front row seat next Juan....

We bear strong, loving witness with the Alexander family, friends and loved ones of Travis today- may justice move swiftly from here on out~ Katrina

the bottomline for me, if she doesn't qualify for the dp, who does?

Nathan & Stephanie Sloop (google them, haven't gone to trial yet)
Those things who killed the Petit family

those come to mind quickly
