Oh, but don't you remember? She had a cut on her ankle from the nail that was used to hold a picture on the wall, and a bump on the back of her head. The bump and cut that no one saw and she didn't seek medical help for when she went to the doctor for her cold.

Thanks lonetraveler for the heads up!

It's awfully quiet. What are they doing?

In today's hearing, the judge will listen to testimony and arguments, then decide sentences for Davidson's convictions on lesser charges, especially aggravated robbery, especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape and theft.

Judge asking if any side wants to argue the lesser charges. He said he's never seen a case so true and they are the most egregious charges he's ever seen. All one needs to do is view the autopsy photos, they speak for themselves. The injuries sustained by Mr. Newsom are unspeakable. Just laying out details as to how bad this crime was and how humiliating a cruel the crimes were to the vics.

There are no words to explain to him these crimes. There are no questions that the facts apply to the (charges?)

Defense correcting judge that Davidson convicted of facilitation and not murder of Newsom. Judge schooling him that facilitation carries the same burden as murder. Ha!

Judge not buying Davidsons bad childhood excuse. His other siblings are succesful. Foster family gave him an incredible opportunity. Instead he threw that all away and chose the life he chose.

Mr Davidson commited the morst horrendous crimes that the judge knows of. Davidson was the leader. Again expressing his lack of understanding why people would do something like this.

Nothing explains this Davidson other than cruelty. Judge is struggling with why Davidson commited these crimes. Says to Davidson, you should never be on the streets again.

There is no sentence great enough to punish you for what you've been convicted of.

Davidson had opportunities most people don't have, judge says that's the childhood that will stand here.

Judge sorry for the family, but death sentence decided by jury was appropriate.

Defense asking for consideration Davidsons mental desease. Judge is like huh? There was no testimony that Davidson has mental desease. Any problem Davidson had was situational and he was given incredible opportunities and willingly chose to go the route he did.

Lol, glad Davidson has been a good prisoner, but that has no mitigating factor today.

Dp for Chris and Channon plus 70 years.....I think....still calculating here.

Dp for Chris and Channon plus 70 years.....I think....still calculating here.

I believe technically 40 because he is running them concurrently. but the DP 2 counts that run consecutively.

So is that in addition to the DP he got from the jury?

So is that in addition to the DP he got from the jury?

I believe it's the same. The jury just said it could be imposed during his sentencing. So the judge has in turn given it to him for both murders in an unprecedented manner - multiple death penalties have never been given consecutively in TN.
