Tracy60

I find it odd people are going on and on about 60 people in Tracy (population approximately 81,550) who trade child *advertiser censored* as if there are not 60 people right in their own communities who are probably doing the same thing.

Respectfully snipped.

But what's different in this case, SS, is that authorities have acknowledged that these people exist and even given a number so the public knows they're all sitting there and nothing has been done about it. There are without a doubt similar numbers in every single one of our home towns as there are more than 300,000 identified nationwide. With a child victim rescued in one third of those cases, that's 100,000 kids in need of rescue NOW.

So I'll tell you why I'm going on and on about the Tracy 60 and that's to KEEP THE PRESSURE ON. With 60 people formally identified by Tracy LE, that's 20 potential child rescues and I don't want another child to suffer another second of abuse. Does it go on in my hometown? Hell yes. But Tracy has revealed its dirty little secret and we need to keep the pressure on and rescue those kids.

And isn't TRACY the same place that KYLE escaped from his 'slave captors?"
This town has made big news in the last year and I think it is a cry for HELP!
Yes, it happens in every town.
Look at the TV show that catches interent child preditors every week!
We all need to help our LE turn in these people in our towns also.
DRUGS-SEX-KIDDI *advertiser censored*..........it all leads to someone dying every day.

SecretS~ I agree something needs to be done about the children who are the victims of these horrific crimes. It falls to the FBI and Interpol (which I am aware they do have extensive task forces in place). Isolating cases are problematic due to origin of material, age of material, and other factors. In order to tackle the issue, it needs to start with the children and parents coming forward to report the abuses and go after the perps. This requires education and psychological warfare, imo.

Shouldn't we be more about pushing for legislation to offer public programs to reach the victims? We teach our children about drug abuse and other things, but we are remiss in bringing to light extreme sexual abuse in communities for fear of offending or crossing the line of impropriety.

It falls to local LE and they have all data in their hands to make their local arrests. It has nothing to do with interpol. They needn't have victims come forward when they have the images that the perps have been trading.

I agree about education and that we do a horrible job for victims. This is an example of how we are currently failing them.

How can you say it has nothing to do with Interpol? Many images are coming from Russia and various other countries with lax laws regarding child *advertiser censored*. Interpol is most active on these crimes.

Local LE have jurisdiction issues, imo.

You are incorrect in terms of the technology used to locate the Tracy 60. ICAC (internet crimes against children) has jurisdiction over it, not Interpol. Interpol has NOTHING to do with how those 60 were located. If you'd like to learn more about it, read the many links I posted above or view the videos where it is described. I know what I'm talking about on this. And frankly, forget Russia, our laws are lax regarding child *advertiser censored*. We know exactly where it exists and who is using it and we do nothing about it.

I spent all of last week reading over the Brooke Bennett case and the horrid atrocities that were committed in that case. I had nightmares every night after turning off my computer as I envisioned the torture that the young girls involved with those predators must have endured.

The perpetrators of the murder of Brooke Bennett were trading child *advertiser censored* via the internet as one would imagine other people trade baseball cards. It is a disgusting, vile, insidious, and rampant pastime for too many thousands of pedophiles.

As I sit and look at the innocent face of my gorgeous 11-month old granddaughter, I can only hope that life will be safer for her as she enters the world. The way things are going, though, it leaves me feeling scared for her.

One thought that keeps going through my mind is that with each new presidency there comes a new First Lady. These First Ladies look for new agendas to take up as part of their platforms to reach the American and international audiences.

The topic of child *advertiser censored* and child trafficking seems like a plausible platform for our new First Lady, especially considering she is the mother of two young girls.

Has anyone thought to contact Mrs. Obama and try to convince her that she could do an enormous service to our children by taking on this horrific crime? She is in a position to raise even more awareness and funding to combat this disgusting scourge of our society.

Something needs to be done, and it needs to be done yesterday.

If they can find funding to build bridges to nowhere, then surely they can find funding to protect the future of our world, our most precious commodity, our children.

I am not going to argue over this one. I wasn't talking about the technology involved or how the 60 were located.

I won't forget about Russia or the other countries because they are instrumental in fueling the fire in the US by paying out large amounts of money to perps. The Bennett case is exactly why I can say this. It opened many eyes to the horrors of child *advertiser censored* and the international community behind it. It is the most horrific case I have seen regarding internet child *advertiser censored*...although I know it is only one of the atrocities occurring in the world.

RIP Brooke Bennett

I agree, Cleo. It would be an excellent cause for the First Lady, but this should be something that our President needs to address along with the thousands and thousands of our children and adults going missing. I am hopeful with John Walsh, Marc Klaas, Ed Smart, and others working diligently to get laws into place that President Obama will see the war we are fighting and get behind funding to protect our citizens.

FYI, Interpol had NOTHING to do with the Bennett case either. If you want to work towards eliminating this problem, look at the links and videos and posted and it will show you exactly how you can support that via legislation, stiffer penalties etc. John Walsh, Marc Klaas and Ed Smart etc worked towards this with Senate Bill 1738 that Obama signed long before his his opponent. He's very aware of this problem and that's why he is for good touch/bad touch education as young as kindergarten. He was attacked for that. The technology behind the Bennett case is the technology described in my links and that case had nothing to do with money or Russia or anything but a problem here on our own shores that people complain about but yet do nothing about. I appreciate your passion here SS, really I do. But your facts are a bit off in terms of identification and jurisdiction regarding child pornographers. Brooke Bennet's killer was also known to be actively trading child *advertiser censored* before he killed her. She could have been saved if they would have acted.

Wasn't it determined that her ex-step-father had been trading *advertiser censored* in a Russian ring? Granted, it has been a long time since I reviewed the case...but I do recall this as being part of that case and discussed at length.

Please understand I am very picky when it comes to stories, especially something has horrible as a pedo ring.

The two sources are small and not really recognized as in-depth news reporting.

A pedo ring in Tracy? This should be on CNN, CBS, 60 mintues. THIS IS HUGE.

But it is not.

That's what makes me stop and wonder about this story.

Yes, it could be true, and if it is shame on the media for not getting the story out there for all of us.

Tricia,
There are other msm articles on this (esp after it came to light during the investigation). The Tracy press (in the media links) reported that because these 60 ISP addys in the tracy area known to be downloading child *advertiser censored* (not a ring per se) that these 60 people along with the rsos had to be looked at in this case. This was of course before they had the perp/found Sandra.

I think what protect.org is so excited about is that for the first time ever LE is looking not only at rsos but at people who have not been arrested but who are known to be looking at child *advertiser censored* on their home computers. Very interesting indeed and if you ask me a step in the right direction.

Aside, these 60 people are not a ring or a group... if you read the article they are 60 computers that have been noted to be downloading the stuff. So, it is not a "pedo ring" per se.

Best thing, it is now out in the open.... so I hope the public presses for arrests of the 60 after this case is over....

Let me tell you what's happened with me in the past few days here.

I routinely check the Nat'l SO registry for pervs in my area. The closest one I ever found near my current address had no home address, just a work address. He was convicted of child molestation. Now, 3 months later, the SO registry has been updated and gave me his new home address as 11 houses down from me. Right within about 75 feet of a children's bus stop. NOT a city bus stop where hundreds of people pass everyday. A CHILDREN'S neighborhood school bus stop, right next door to him.

Virginia state law prohibits him, or rather, is supposed to be prohibiting him from loitering or living within 500 feet of a school or anyplace that children are known to congregate. Not only could he throw a rock from his front door to that bus stop, there is a playground across the street and 3 schools within a two block radius. LOTS of kids, streaming around here all day long.

I found out he's right down the block now, and so I called the police. I figured I would be giving them some news, but they said they already know he is there and they are "watching him". I asked what about the law that prohibits him within 500 feet and all I got was a lot of verbal foot-shuffling and a bunch of "err...ahh...err...ahh"'s out of them. So I decided it was my job to alert my whole neighborhood. Upon talking to one of my neighbors, her 20 year old son heard us and said "hey, is this guy's first name XX" and when I said yes, he and his friend looked at each other and said "that's why he has that camera in his front window".

I'm going to the Police Department on Monday. And I will not leave until I get some answers. The ship has sailed on "watching" somebody. I will NOT be waiting until one more child is missing/dead. I already told my boss I may need to call out Monday night, I may be sleeping downtown on someone's office floor so I can have their coffee ready for first thing Tuesday. We're going to have some long days together until they L.I.S.T.E.N.

Can anyone tell me why this convicted child molester he needs a video camera mounted in his living room window, pointed at the street and bus stop??

GOOD for you! If he is within a specified distance, he should be violated and returned to jail/prison. That is a clear violation of his parole/probation. Police need no excuse to just walk in on him - they do not need a search warrant or even probable cause. His living in the wrong area is probable cause anyway.

Stick to your guns. You are in the right. The police are NOT doing their job. Write the newspaper about it too.

People tend to trust people who work in the childcare field. Just last week there was a couple in my state who were arrested for molesting and filming children at the day care they ran out of their home. Some of their victims were only a few months old.

Do the police have this video. There was an entire witch hunt of preschools that went on in the 80s. Children are NOT honest; they do not report lthese things. There is a VERY specific way to interview preschoolers, and most psychologists have no clue how to do it. False memories are very easily fed to small children by well-meaning psychologists, and parents who don't know what they are doing. The anatomically correct dolls cost abuot $250 and do NOT come with instructions. There have been numerous studies done on preschoolers and false memories. I have done some reading on the subject and the more the children are questioned, the more elaborate (and false) their claims swill become. Unless the police actually have such videotape, their case is weak at best.

What I can tell you is that in my own personal experience a child who comes forward with allegations of abuse should never be called dishonest!!!! I have true and real very clear and frightening memories of the abuse that was perpetrated against me. My story had NEVER changed one iota. The memories remain the same. I do know that some children report falsely, some recant truthful allegations and most are truthful and it should never be said that "children are not honest" and "they never report these things". That is simply patently untrue and harmful to the cause of abused children. My own opinion forged through the fires of personal experience and 35 years of working with abused children.

I read an article that said the police are looking into a known group of 60 child *advertiser censored* traffickers in connection with this case. Anything on that?
Matthew (FOX40.com): Yes, FOX40.com has a video story filed by Teri Cox on that very subject. Standby and I'll see if I can get a link.

Is is certian that Huckaby acted alone? Matthew (FOX40.com): Authorities continue to say she is the sole suspect; they do not anticipate other suspects or other arrests, but the investigation does continue.

or maybe, you know, instead of freaking out about stranger danger and going on a witchhunt and posting peoples' pictures up all over your town, you guys' time would be better spent investigating your own relatives. Most children are molested by a relative or family friend. Stranger abduction and molestation is one of the rarest crimes - stranger molestation happens in only 11% of all child molestation cases. The rest are by people you know. Why? because your kids are easy. they probably already have your trust and your kid's trust. and they know your kid isn't going to run to you and say, "Mom, your boyfriend is molesting me" or "Uncle Tom is molesting me". They know they're entangled in your life and your kid doesn't want to upset that, hence, he's less likely to report it. In fact, did you know that it is one of the most underreported crimes? only 1-10% of incidents are ever reported, according to the FBI? why do you think more kids aren't reporting it? could it be that the person doing it is ever-present in their lives, and to report the crime would cause massive upheaval and trauma for the family?

We spend so much time warning kids about strangers and "hey kids want some candy", when maybe we should be looking at the people that we have and invite into our own homes and lives. Specifically, the men. He can be as
"churchgoing" and as good of a father/brother/boyfriend/uncle as you think, so that you're all the more unsuspecting. The one person most likely molesting your child right now is the one person you're probably least likely to chase out of your neighborhood with a pitchfork.

Thank you for this post.

I see this Tracy 60 is a touchy subject for some. Maybe I should go back to watching DWTS instead of sleuthing out pedophiles....
