He does not look that injured in any of the footage that the police would have been unable to speak to him
Injured from the tasing? He was still running around and jumping over fences and roofs so I was surprised when they said he was too injured from the car crash.
I'm thinking maybe internal injuries from the crash, organ damage or internal bleeding?I'm wondering if it's some sort of head injury from the car crash. Might mean they have to wait for him to be cleared by medical staff first? JMO.
I think that’s possibleI'm thinking maybe internal injuries from the crash, organ damage or internal bleeding?
Hopefully they will be able to question him soon and find out the motive. I suspect if this is MH related he will be sectioned upon hospital discharge to be fully assessed if not already.
What awful news.
My thoughts go out to the family of the 14 year old boy.. I guess he was on his way to school when this happened.
This attack looks more targeted to me - these random terror attacks / mental health related attacks usually happen in busier areas imo this looks like a residential estate.
This world is becoming a very scary place.
I hope she makes a full recovery and is supported by the Met throughout her whole recovery period ."Female officer attacked by sword-wielding suspect
'could have nearly lost her arm'
but should make a full recovery with 'years of physio',

He said one male officer has serious injuries to his hand,
while a female colleague was in surgery for several hours yesterday after suffering 'horrifically serious' wounds to her arm.
He said the surgeon is 'increasingly optimistic'
the female officer could make a full recovery
but could take years of care and physio.
A neighbour yesterday paid tribute to the schoolboy victim, telling the Mail:
'He is a nice, quiet boy.
He does not play out, but stays at home.
His family are very nice, respectable.
They go to church and go out together as a family'.
It was reported last night that the boy went to private school and was wearing his sports clothes at the time of the stabbing.
Police said yesterday they did not believe the attack was 'targeted' or terror-related."
RIP to the victim
Condolences to Family.

If he went to a private school he might have had a long travel in the morning, so 7am would sound about right if buses/trains needed to be caught.BBM. If this happened at around 7:00am it was probably too early for school. I'm thinking something like newspaper delivery.

I have a question as a foreigner:
Why aren't British Police armed?
I think they are the only Police force in the world not armed with guns.
What is the reason for this situation?
TIA
Thanks! The history of officers not being armed originates from the formation of the Metropolitan Police Service in the 19th century and is partly due to public fears and objections of armed enforcers. It had been seen as the responsibility of the British Army to maintain order when needed.

Some UK airports do have armed police officers. Thanks!
I decided to ask Uncle Google and found the answer in my country's MSM from 2017:
"The British police operate based on the principle of
'policing by consent'.
This means that officers are treated as
'citizens in uniform'.
Their behavior should be transparent and inspire trust.
In London,
90 percent the policemen are not armed.
One explanation for this is that British citizens do not have weapons either,
and the police are mainly there to prevent crime.
In Great Britain,
apart from Northern Ireland,
an officer does not generally carry a weapon.
An average policeman has pepper spray, handcuffs,
a baton, a stun gun and a knife protection vest."
Brytyjscy policjanci bez broni?
Police in Ireland (Eire) and New Zealand aren't armed either. Like us they have specialist armed units but the regular force don't carry guns.I have a question as a foreigner:
