It still doesn't sit right with me that he never stood trial, IMO, but I understand LWOP for Timothy Madden could have spared her loved ones not having to go through trial. It's still sickening, IMO, that this MONSTER was never held accountable to the letter of the law and never was made to face her family and own up to what he did, and seemingly danced away off to prison "on a lark" (Alford plea

This case still haunts me. It's difficult to imagine someone making such a split-second opportunistic decision with so many life-altering consequences. Either he had committed similar acts before or maybe had snuck away for a substance-abuse break and temporarily lost all capacity for reason and self-control. I still wish there had been a trial so that we could get some answers.
