That is quite a curve to maneuver while accelerating for 60 feet to 24 mph in reverse. And they claim that KR did this heavily drunk without hitting the curb, fire hydrant, or bushes or skidding out of control towards the left-hand side of the road?

And when she does JO as they claim, she does so in silence without her vehicle making any loud crashing or skidding noises and without attracting attention at all?

With her skills maybe she should consider a career with NASCAR or as a stunt driver for Fast and Furious franchise.

ADA Lally showing "triggering events" Trooper Paul downloaded from Read's Lexus. The time/date column is empty so we don't know when these events happened

Ummmm couldn’t these yellow highlights be from when Jen was driving Karen’s vehicle to John’s house that morning?

It was a different driver in an unfamiliar car, she may have reversed faster than Karen usually does.

I think you could look at that the other way- yes it would be difficult to not hit anything at that speed in reverse, and they are alleging she didn't avoid hitting something.

Why doesn't Lally ask him at what speed (in a collision) the airbags are set to deploy? That might be useful info for the jury, esp. if the CW is going to tell them she was reversing at 24 mph over a distance of 60 feet.
I don’t think airbags deploy when a car is hit on the rear bumper. I checked google and couldn’t find an acceptable link specifically stating this, but after reading through the following article from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety it doesn’t mention rear end crashes causing an airbag to trigger, just front and side.

This picture of evidence shows activity on Karen Read's car when the odometer read 12,629 miles. When it was brought to Canton PD, it was at 12,665 miles. The 36 mile difference, the Trooper testifies, is consistent with Read's travels (1/2)

Her travels (approximately) between 34 Fairview, John's house, Jen's house, then her parents in Dighton before car is towed. So by doing the route math backwards, Trooper suggests that these highlighted events place Read's car at 34 Fairview. (2/2)

Paul is showing this chart about two triggering events Read's SUV recorded at 12,629 miles on the odometer.

The previous chart is for the first triggering event. Paul says it indicates the driver was making u-turn.

Here is Paul's chart for the 2nd trigger event recorded by Read's SUV. Says it shows the accelerator was pressed 3/4 down and the vehicle accelerated to 24.2 mph while in reverse.

Ok but she went driving around Washington st that morning looking for him. Did they figure that into the mileage too?

This second triggering event sounds like the route that prosecution alleges she took to 34 Fairview with JO. When she missed the turn onto Fairview, had to reverse back down Cedarcrest so she could turn right onto Fairview

"Another state police forensic scientist, Christina Hanley, testified she examined a broken cocktail glass and said it matched glass pieces found on the ground outside the home.
Hanley also testified she examined small pieces of glass found on Read’s rear bumper and found some matched glass pieces found on the road outside the home.
Prosecutors say O’Keefe was holding a cocktail glass when he was struck by Read and it was the same glass he was seen on video carrying out of one of the bars before he was killed."
There were two types of glass found on the ground.
The cocktail glass
And
A large glass piece that doesn’t match the cocktail glass on the ground. This large piece of glass was found by proctor.

Out of many glass pieces found on the bumper, only two small pieces on the bumper match the one large piece of glass found on the ground by proctor.

Ah, yes, because people often reverse when doing a UTurn.
