So, Macedonio basically owes his ability to practice law to Spota. Spota is a key player in the systemic, institutionalized corruption in SC.

And with that origin story, Macedonio appeared like magic to start saying unkind things about both the investigation and Asa herself, whom he theoretically represented. ("She has to focus on her mental heath." Don't we all have to? But an announcement like that sounded to me like he was gaslighting her rather than representing her.)

Macedonio is theoretically representing Asa, but spends air time defending Rex and bashing John Ray. Note that the person who assembled the task force and oversaw its most productive months embraced John Ray's information and encouraged witnesses unwilling or unable to approach LE to approach John Ray.

One minor but irksome thing Macedonio said on Court TV was that the task force was assembled by Tierney. No, it was not! It was assembled by Commissioner Rodney Harrison. There was some tension between them, but in my opinion, Rodney Harrison's leadership highlighted all the best in Tierney. The kind words that I have for Tierney are because of Rodney Harrison. Rodney Harrison had a "no egos" rule which Macedonio violated.

The person who was most instrumental in identifying a suspect [Rex] to surveil and ultimately arrest was a State Trooper. Without Rodney Harrison's leadership, Tierney would not have had access to talent from agencies outside of Suffolk County.

IMO, Macedonio is trying to interfere with the investigation into LISK.

I don't believe he stopped killing at all. Remember , shortly after his arrest a woman said he emerged from some bushes in the middle of the day, dressed in strange (misleading>) clothes?

Is it known if he parked in the garage? It seems so small and with them being hoarders, I suspect it's packed full of stuff. His truck and jeep are not small either. There are photos of his vehicles parked on the street and driveway, and neighbors have reported the same. I do wonder how he got women into his home, unseen and unheard by the neighbors.

IIRC someone way upthread mentioned that the circa 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche passenger compartment might have a rear pass-through to the covered rear compartment? Some call it a mid-gate. (As contrasted to a tail gate.) It allows access to the rear bed through the front compartment. The rear seats are first folded down and access is then gained.

Pretty sure access to YT videos is disallowed. If you Google ‘chevrolet avalanche rear seat fold down‘ or the like - there is a video from Ramey Chevrolet entitled “Chevy Avalanche Mid-gate demonstration” that demonstrates this in less than 2 minutes. (Note also in that video the removed rear glass is not properly secured as it should be before attempting this maneuver.)

RH driveway IIRC is about double vehicle wide, single narrow garage door…. If the victim was in the cab, then placed in the rear seat area and then rear covered tailgate compartment (via the above pass through fold down) - then backing the truck into driveway and could have had access to the garage via the opened tailgate. (From some other video of the quarters, I would be amazed if that small garage was empty….. or empty enough to contain that full-sized vehicle.)

And as I complete this, perhaps this is another reason RH wanted that vehicle IMO? MOO

Maybe but I reckon he had another lair.
he managed literally hundreds of buildings and had access to them all.
we had a shot at deciphering them at one stage, searching for an elusive abandoned building that was under or close to one he managed. It was like searching fr a needle in a haystack.. there were so many.

I've wondered if he went right back to work after his Gilgo runs and was there some kind of euphoria or withdrawal that would have been noticeable to family and/or co-workers?

No, I don't think we know he parked in the garage. I believe it's been said he was always sawing in the garage, so perhaps that was used as a workshop. Since he made notes to prep the room with plastic and push pins, it doesn't stretch my imagination to think he'd clean out enough space to use the garage.

I don't remember the garage being mention in his prep document, so maybe not.

However, if re-arranging the garage would have been too much work, the photos of his house offer suggestions of how the neighbors would not have seen him: on the left is a tall, thick hedge. There is a fence along the back with lush and tall growth on the garage end of the house in case victims were carried from the truck into the back of the house. The white privacy fence on the right of the house looks fairly new, so may not have been there in 10-15 years ago.

To me, the garage is a simple explanation. Even if there was not a door from garage into the house, the plantings around the house would have hidden him from the neighbors' sight. I think the victims were likely gagged before he moved them into the house. I wonder if they were also wrapped to prevent them losing hair or other DNA into the home environment?

P.S. Unfortunately the photo of the right side of the house is saving as something called a JFIL -- even though I'm trying for jpeg. So I can't show that side.

Yes he was arrested because LE reported they feared he was planning another hunt/kill. He purchased another burner phone. And perhaps they knew his family was planning on going on vacation imo.

Also I had read that all those investigating him were never to mention his name and if necessary he was referred to by his initials.
The Grand Jury didn't know his name and I'm not sure if his initials were ever said.
They were really afraid of leaks and rightfully so.

Are we to gather that AE/family has never been interviewed 11 months later?

In reference to the photo of RH working on tablet with left hand, holding what we assume to be a beer in paper bag, in the right hand.
Has there been any mention of RH having other addictions in addition to the obvious.
Wondering if he is also an alcoholic. Or other drugs. Just curious.
It seems serial killers usually have multiple substance addictions .

I had thought RH offered to drive Nikki Brass to HIS home? Or did he offer to drive her to HER home? I was wondering how he got them INSIDE his home, if he indeed took them to his home, without being noticed by anyone. He could have parked in that small garage I suppose, but I don't think it would have a door entering the house. Maybe there was a door from the garage to the back yard, where he could then access that entranceway to the basement. He saw so many SW's. How many did I take back to his place I wonder. Maybe only the ones he wanted to torture.

It is a lot to insist that AE or children be interviewed.

LE has to arrest them, have a court proceeding to which they can be subpoenaed and put under oath, or that kind of thing. There has to be a very good reason. And no matter what nobody can be compelled to speak without an attorney, or such that it would incriminate oneself.

Any conversation is voluntary. It appears to me there have been some voluntary interactions; for instance Asa provided her DNA.

But for some reason, Macedonio emphasized from day one that Asa didn't have anything to add, and claimed LE never asked for her to speak to them. That LE never asked for her observations is a strained claim, to put it mildly.

I suppose she could have been called to the grand jury; we wouldn't know at this point. But I highly doubt it because it would have tipped off her husband. So she has probably never been subpoenaed as a witness.

My intuition says that what really happened is Macedonio told Asa not to talk voluntarily. He told he will go along for any interview they insist upon, if in fact LE can insist. And she has never been compelled to talk in any way that we could learn.

If I were LE I wouldn't announce she isn't speaking to me if all of the evasions are legal. I'd say exactly what is being said: she is cooperating fully. If she is not subpoenaed, she doesn't have to speak. Thus, she is cooperating.In addition, if I were LE and she was afraid of getting "caught" talking, I'd make sure she doesn't get caught. So there is a legit reason to say nothing about what Asa says.

But the signs are, Asa is saying and cooperating as little as possible.

I have to find a quote. I recall Asa said something to the press to the effect that she had to keep her mouth shut per her attorney or something like that.

as far as I recall she described him wearing dirty overalls or something to that effect.. I'm not sure whether it was ever confirmed it was actually him but even if it was not I cannot see how he could possibly have curbed his sadistic cruelty in any shape size or fashion. If anything he would have stepped it up, new girls, new methodologies.. he was running wild for years..

Two weeks before he was arrested. I wonder if that was reported to the LISK LE after she reported to the local police! I wonder if they checked surveillance when she reported it the same day. Maybe that played into them speeding up the arrest too. MOO
