I agree. Even if the boys are not questioning it, someone down the ancestral line will if the boys any biological children of their own. I can see this abduction one day being resolved when an unknowing grandkid takes an Ancestry.com or 23 and me DNA test.Hopefully these boys will eventually question where their real mom is/was. They're out there living what they believe to be a normal life. Sometimes I feel as though we all should have our DNA submitted to a master database. This would solve hundreds of these parent abduction cases.
How old would their dad be now?
I feel they are likely somewhere in Iowa/Oklahoma/Nebraska/Kansas area.
I hope they are found soon.
Thanks for some reason I couldn’t find that info.DOB: 3-6-42'Missing for Decades: The Vosseler Abduction,' a documentary about a still-unsolved 1986 parental kidnapping

It’s hard to keep track of since he has multiple birthdays listed. I found it kinda funny how with the fake birthdays, both times he made himself younger. I really want to know how the FBI has obtained the aliases and phony birthdates. I know they were close to locating him and the kids once. Thanks for some reason I couldn’t find that info.
Hmm, I wonder if he is no longer alive.
Stilwell OKWhat town in Oklahoma was he living in?
What was his mode of transportation in 1987 in Oklahoma?

I have no idea regarding the transportation being used.
Oh yes, it does! I wonder if they ever reunited with their Dad. For me, this case reminds me so much of the missing Zaharias children. Maybe it’s because it was just a year later but I see some similarities. This reminds me of the Yates girls found 31 years later under different names. Law enforcement hasn’t mentioned how they were able to stay hidden under new names as adults and they went missing as very very young children.
I hope this case turns out like theirs. Eventually found alive and well.
Happy to help! This is one case I really want solved. I feel horrible for Ruth and for the boys. I am surprised it hasn’t gotten more media attention in recent times. Just gaining some momentum and the right set of eyes seeing it might be all that is needed to find them.Thank you so much for posting Ruth's story.....
I wondered why she moved back to Wisconsin, and now it makes sense.
I wonder how much the FBI had or had done with Charlie's family.
The sons are now in their early 40s. Not in their twenties, when they might have tried to do some searching of their pasts.
Moving around was certainly Charlie's game, so they probably have no sense of roots or "home".....
Oh how I wish this story could get some momentum.
It was 1987, I’m not sure of the exact date. I will keep searching and see if I can come across it somewhere. Is there anything from the Stillwell, OK regarding exactly when the house burned down? Clearly he would have needed a vehicle to flee. A vehicle that was likely licensed.
