This woman basically matured into adulthood in prison. I don't think she has any concept of what's "normal." She is likely just not very mature. I think she's got a hard life ahead of her, and so does her baby.

IMO MOO
I agree. Sad case, for sure. I have only followed this casually. Do we have any idea what she is doing to earn a living?

Nothing to report of as now. Depending on what she has signed off to regarding contracts with NF, docu series, etc she could be thinking she never has to worry about supporting herself.

I can easily see her blowing through money. Unless she has sought Financial Planners I don’t think she has any knowledge of money management.

Eventually people will lose interest and the contracts will dry up…unless she does something outrageous to create new opportunities, like a reality show with baby and Ken. This is really the only job skill she has. It’s a little late to get a job in retail or an office. I think she mentioned motivational speaking, which could work.

Octomom sought the spotlight at first but that didn't work out, and she seems to have pulled her life together and works a regular job. It can be done. (Funny to think Octomom turned out to be a good example for this type of side-show reality celebrity.)

I think Gypsy will avoid the trashy stuff Octomom did, but I expect Gypsy will continue to sell her story to the public. And to sell her story, she needs drama...constant drama.

She was literally raised to be this way. She is still young and I don't know how she can pull this off long-term. I hope someone wise is advising her with managing her finances and career. (Then again, bad advice could be fodder for a dramatic story down the road.)

The crime scene pictures have been circulating on <modsnip - not an approved source> for years. If anything, it just further degrades the victim and yes, I know she was an awful person and an even worse mother but she was murdered. We all know what Gipsy and her boyfriend did, nobody needed to see those pictures. Gipsy asked her boyfriend to murder her own mother, while she was abused, she also did something awful and keeps behaving terribly in other ways.

This type of activity is going to surround her, until or if she begins therapy/counseling. De-programming is going to take a long while ‘if’ it ever begins.
I think she's been taken advantage of by more than just her deceased mother.
She needs to disappear from public life, and focus on her mental health, and the overall well-being of her baby.

I hope there are those in her personal life giving her the same advice, and that she takes it.

I agree but I don’t know if she has a single person that has her best interest at heart. Her father seems to be enjoying the fame, as well as his wife.

Anderson, 38, revealed during a TikTok livestream on Saturday, Aug. 10, that he has to take a DNA test following Blanchard’s pregnancy news, which is part of the procedure to establish paternity for separated couples who are still married under Louisiana state law. His social media announcement comes after Blanchard, 33, and her new boyfriend Ken Urker announced earlier the same day that they are expecting a baby girl together.

I was thinking about Gypsy Rose Blanchard- I am not so sure it is wonderful she is having a child.
I believe that she may be irretrievably damaged- first of all, the abuse she endured at the hands of her mother is almost too much to comprehend- it went on for years and years- then she murders her mother- unless she is a sociopath ( I don't think she is but she could be), she will have to live with that guilt for the rest of her life. Put all of that together and what you have is this woman who is trying to live some kind of normal life- but so far her life is not really going so well-- and now she is pregnant! How does this woman with this baggage become a normal mother?

She doesn’t, at least until she enters therapy to get deprogrammed. I guess we will see her on Dr. Phil eventually.

I agree that Gypsy is likely irretrievably damaged. There is no way Gypsy knows what a normal life or a normal mother is. She not only endured medical abuse by her mother, but she was taught to lie and to play on people’s sympathy to obtain special treatment. She learned to be a user and that seeking attention is rewarding (constant publicity and baby gift registry, for example). She may not be a psychopath, but I don’t see how she could have a normal conscience and concern for others (Her attitude toward Godejohn is so callous.). It’s not at all wonderful that she is having a child. I actually fear for her baby. Gypsy needs much more therapy than she had in prison and retirement from public life if she can ever hope to be “normal.” But I don’t see that happening.

I agree with everything you said especially that she learned to be a user and that seeking attention is rewarding!!! sigh- I too fear for her baby--we learn how to treat people, at least in part, by the way we were treated- therapy can break that cycle, along with intelligence and a recognition of a problem or potential problem--
