Some additional info.
So glad she was found!

He says M met Antonio Agustin, a Guatemalan native, online and began chatting with him and other adult men through Facebook Messenger. She told Agustin that she was unhappy and wanted to leave home.

On May 29, Agustin drove from his Ohio home to Gainesville to pick M up and take her back to northeast Ohio, where investigators believe they have been since.

The sheriff went on to say that they found her after she made another Facebook account and messaged her father to let him know that she was fine, but wasn’t coming home and wanted him to stop looking for her.

Investigators were able to use the IP address from that message to track down the phone number and M’s location.

"She’s 12 years old. She’s a little girl,” Gomez said. “She has a life in front of her. She wants to study. She wants to go to school.”

Investigators said Agustin communicated with M online for a long time before deciding to abduct her.

Gomez is worried he may have hurt more children. Investigators are looking into Agustin’s background to see if anyone else is at risk.

Child Services is now working with M to determine what is best for her."

They were able to track the phone to a residence in Dover.

Believing the information was a credible lead to M's location, officials say, HCSO sent four CIB investigators to Tuscarawas County.

According to officials, the investigators were able to track the phone to the Dover City Park area where they made visual contact with M and Agustin.

When the two got into a vehicle and traveled to a nearby shopping center parking lot, they, along with members of the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office followed.

Officials say they recovered M at the scene.

Augustin had not yet seen a judge as of Friday and no bail had been set, Fisher said. Augustin doesn’t have an attorney who could speak for him, Fisher said. An extradition hearing to Georgia is likely next week with Ohio officials planning to prosecute Augustin after legal proceedings conclude in Georgia, Fisher added.

Fisher said federal immigration officials have placed a detainer on Augustin, indicating they could seek to deport him, but Fisher said he didn’t know Augustin’s immigration status. Augustin’s only previous encounter with law enforcement in Tuscarawas County came in 2021 when he was cited for driving without a license and with an open container of alcohol.
