I think your link refers to when AG Shapiro punts the case though his name isn't mentioned specifically by the journalist.

At 1:30 in this video the case shuffle letter from AG Shapiro is addressed by the victim's parents

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that's not how it works. Same was said about Kamala Harris when she did similar to CA's Rebecca Zahau case which is still designated as a suicide, and no criminal investigation opened for RZ as of this date -- following family request (who prevailed in civil court wrongful death claim)! MOO

Yeah, you could be right. But at least in the Rebecca Zahau case the crime scene wasn’t obliterated within 24 hours of her death.

What I’m arguing is that Ellen’s case is worse because it’s reeking of downright corruption from beginning to end.

Ellen Greenberg, 27, was found dead on the kitchen floor of her apartment in Philadelphia in the middle of a blizzard on January 26, 2011, and her death was ruled a suicide despite 20 wounds.

The family's lawyer, Joseph Podraza, said getting the finding changed could force Greenberg's death to be reinvestigated as a possible homicide.

'We've got our fingers and toes crossed. That's why we were ecstatic when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decided to take up the matter,' he said.

'We're hopeful that one of the reasons that they took this case is to set that precedent and to correct what we contend is an erroneous determination.'

Though the Commonwealth Court found the Greenbergs had no standing to challenge the medical examiner, the judges were otherwise on their side.

The 39-page decision was a scathing indictment of how the case was handled, giving them hope for the Supreme Court appeal.

Judges wrote they were 'acutely aware of the deeply flawed investigation' and their opinion was written ''in the interests of justice' and 'with hopes that equity may one day prevail for the victim and her loved ones'.

It really is extraordinary. My guess is it started to protect the killer then morphed into protecting themselves. JMOO. May she RIP and may her family get justice and closure.

‘Neighbors heard him yelling to her through the door, and frustrated, he began calling before texting her nine messages.

They were: 'Hello,' 'open the door,' 'what r u doin,' 'i'm getting pissed,' 'hello,' 'you better have an excuse,' 'what the *advertiser censored**' 'ahhh' 'u have no idea.'

So, did they argue, he left to go to the gym and she locked him out. He returned, was growing more and more infuriated…and finally she put down the knife she was preparing the fruit salad with… relented and opened the door to a man fully enraged??? After all, he had no options in a blizzard.

“YOU BETTER HAVE AN EXCUSE! I’M GETTING PISSED! WHAT THE **EXPLETIVE!!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA!’

How long before the 911 call were these texts sent?

Just my imagination running wild with what little we know.

Couldn’t have been immediately after bc didn’t he have difficulty getting the security guard or maintenance man to open the door? Like wasn’t there a back and forth for some time about it? I can’t remember it’s been so long since Ive revisited this case, glad to see some good news.

The security guard gave a sworn statement that he never left his post, according to the same DM article. The fiancé was in the apartment when police came.

So it would seem that the entirety of the ‘locked door’ story…when and why…is only from the fiancé. Is there any collaboration from the neighbors about the timeline. What if she locked him out and he busted the lock to get in and that rage led to the crime?

Also -- her parents explain why they don't think PA Gov. Josh Shapiro took the case seriously. And why authorities -- 13 yrs later -- still won't hand over Ellen's journal.
