Now I know why there was zero chat or LE updates. Sorry for the sons, I wonder if their father is still around to assist with their grief?
Maybe Isabella Dan was the one who got away.......... or did she??

'The Porsche Cayenne that Dan got into on March 3 at about 8:22 p.m. belonged to a business associate of hers, said Coulson.'
"We were able to determine that her associate dropped off Isabella at an unknown location where she was supposed to meet with another unknown person," Coulson told CBC News'

"We believe that area was along Hwy 7 between Warden Avenue and Leslie Street in the city of Markham, or along Yonge Street between York Mills and Eglinton in the city of Toronto."

"The Law Society has received 3 complaints and is investigating allegations that Ms. Dan took client trust funds, acted in a conflict of interest, committed mortgage fraud, and has not accounted to clients for their money," according to the LSO's filings to Toronto's Superior Court of Justice.''

I wonder if this is a cold case, or does LE still have it open? Surprising an associate drops her off, but has zero recall where? When they say "associate" what exactly is the relationship? Guess we should move this to her WS thread.

"The lawsuits for my client do not allege Dan facilitated, initiated or benefited from the alleged fraud," said Glenn Cohen, a lawyer representing the plaintiff in two of the cases against Dan.

"They plead claims of lawyer's negligence and breach of contract, in that she failed to comply with the terms of the mortgage commitment, in particular regarding title insurance, and failed to advise the client about aspects of the transactions."
Am I understanding this correctly... "the clients do not allege she facilitated, initiated or benefited from the alleged fraud" If she didn't, who did? When mortgage fraud is committed, is it not for financial gain?
Or does this mean she was acting for someone else?? Was she the middle man per se?
If she was a sloppy lawyer might she only receive a slap on the wrist for her mistakes? Why disappear?
Was she privy to larger crimes? Or were her clients angry enough to extract revenge?

It seems to be a different sort of crime, imo..

Wonder who hold the private mortage on the North York home?
If her leased car was found outside building and not in underground, could she have popped back home quickly and been abducted from condo? Who owned condo, and did she lease it?

This has all the markings of a cold case, but surely LE hasn't let it slide into the coffin. I can't imagine the headache of investigating these cases esp with culturally different names, but the Asian Crime Unit must have a few scraps of leads.

Has LS found anything suspicious in her cases or files or office? Is LE checking in regularly with the LS.
Did she have a secretary or Assistant who could shed some light into activities in cases or in her life?

Probably no connection, but close enough to note, fwiw..

'At least four suspects allegedly attempted to kidnap a woman at Vaughan Mills on Friday afternoon.
York Regional Police said it received calls about the incident at around noon.
The woman got away from her assailants, police said, and suffered minor injuries.
"This was a targeted incident and there is no threat to public safety," police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.'

Two huge locations, miles apart, and this "associate" can't remember??
Who reported her missing?

Would love to know if she is in law or real estate…..

''Armstrong says Dan was reported missing by her colleagues after she failed to show up for meetings and to work.
"As a result of that unusual behaviour it caused a lot of concern for the colleagues," she said.''

'Julie says she first met Dan through her work as a real estate lawyer in 2017 and that the two became friends over the years.'

'Julie told CBC Toronto Dan's parents live in China and says she's not aware of any other family here. Dan is also unmarried and has no children, she said.'

Have to say that she doesn't look like a Han Chinese, the majority race in China.

I know nothing about that, but do think her two photos provided by LE are remarkably different.

Unsure if there is a connection or not, but it is unusual enough to include new thread here, fwiw..

At this point with very little revealed re Isabella Dan's disappearance, anything is possible.

From stills taken from video, this young lady looked quite fit. She must have been to fight off the assailants. If there were four, and one was driving the car, that left three to wrestle with, two in back seat (which must have been very cramped). Just another case of inept criminals, are they also nonmuscular to not be able to hold a victim down?
-Are they teens? (scary thought, but more than possible).
-Were they the individuals with Anita Mui? Was this young lady r/t Anita?
-Are they the shooters in King City?
-Did the young lady "talk" to someone about these young mens doings and now they are extracting punishment?

From the stature of these inept criminals, I would hazard a guess they are indeed very young adults or teens. And considering the increase in these types of crimes of late, I bet they are all the same individuals. Wait until they meet someone who is also brandishing a weapon and not afraid to use it. "It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt"....... and KUDOS to the two men that attempted to intervene to stop it!!!!! HEROES!!!
