I'm still wondering what they knew about Shawn or what HE knew that they dropped the charges.
That was just crazy and I can't imagine how her dad is feeling and has done for almost fourteen years. Severe ups and downs from the start. I don't care if he's had a new baby or even five or twenty, I would be more concerned if the mother had. Some people are just blind to what's going on right in front of them.
Was just looking at the TX Department of Public Safety site, and they're offering "a cash reward of up to $3,000 to any person who provides information", that is not much at all. Maybe standard, but this was a high-profile case with a very strong suspect they decided to just drop with no official explanation.

I think they dropped it because they know others are involved, but no solid evidence. A good lawyer would use that to their advantage, and maybe they did behind the scenes.

Clint and that crazy PI of his are at it again on Facebook. They would have far more credibility, if they stopped with the dramatic nonsense.

It’s a shame Adkins will likely never be prosecuted for Hailey’s death.
 
I was thinking about this case and going over the timeline and I'm curious if anyone here ever heard about Billie's phone records for Sunday evening until Tuesday when police were contacted or did Billie tell anyone the calls she saw in her call log outside of the wyd text.

In other cases the phone records can sometimes help with narrowing in the focus of the case.

On Monday Billie and Shawn left, and Billie's phone was at the house.

Was Billie's phone pinging in the normal area it had previously with normal usage?

Were there any calls or texts made earlier in the day and to whom? Were those people contacted to say who they spoke to?

In some report it said on Monday Shawn made several calls to Billie....was it to her job or the cell phone? If it was to the cellphone how is it possible he spoke to Billie and it was verified she was at work? Who was he talking too?

Was the wyd text the only thing sent out that day before Billie got back home?

So many questions

Pretty sure someone made a timeline for the phones on WS as the phone information became available .
I believe the answers ,at least not all of them, cannot be with the phone information ,or we would really know that already.

Also ,I hate to be the person to ask for a link to the wyd text , I kinda need to see it to refresh my mind on this very interesting part of this case.

So many of HDs class mates have kids in school. the same hallways they walked with HD Now their children walk with each others children . It will go on like that huge mystery- some of your family's shelter the ghost from .

Checking in on this case tonight and I'm just curious to see when do you all believe Hailey's life was stolen from her....

The night of the 26th - before midnight
The morning of the 27th- between 12 and 6
The morning of the 27th - between 6 and 8
The afternoon of the 27th - between 3 and 6

These are the times I feel have likely been discussed the most and fits in where no alibi is really solid from what we have seen.

As for me....I'm thinking either the night of the 26th and cover-up the morning of the 27th.
 
I think David left the house the night of the 26th around 9 or 10 PM. So I say anytime after that, agree cleanup/coverup ensued up until they left the house that morning.

I’ve completely given up on any type of justice for Hailey. Both parents are incapable of seeking it on her behalf - each for very different reasons, JMO.

Me too. This case was compromised early on by what seemed to be a pretty casual investigation, chaotic and contested evidence, one parent who appeared to be largely disinterested in fighting hard for justice for HD and another who was IMO deeply invested but incapable at times.

SA will get away with murder and likely worse, not because he's a brilliant master criminal but because he was able to inhabit the chaos, seemingly pull a few strings / have them pulled on his behalf, and ride out a scattershot investigation while BD rabbited on around him.

I hate it, but I think this one is over. And in the worst possible way.

But, as always, here to be surprised in a good way.

You stated it all perfectly, agree 100%. I’ll add, a disinterested Mom was at the root of it all and why this tragedy even happened. Poor Hailey

I think that law enforcement ,under whatever mismanagement was going on failed HD.
They failed the entire community . Even if they arrested someone ,those witnesses they had who came forward to be ridiculed were so undermined by the media the LE depts and the public ,if they had more witnesses ,I am of the opinion they would not come forward and I think it be interesting to hear what they have to say about the whole case now.

True, but who created the environment which allowed this to happen in the first place? Further, I'd be more interested in hearing what the Texas Rangers, FBI and the DA's Office has to say about the investigation. I doubt that will ever happen though.

I am not convinced tbh that either were that invested in justice for Hailey. IMO it appears to be EM trying for the most part but I am not convinced she is doing it for the right reasons and just seems to be making the situation worse.
