According to the FB group, he had blankets and pillows(?) with him so they believe he could be sleeping out of his car. Here's hoping he's safe and is found soon (if he wants to be).

According to this, it looks like they tried the Find Me feature on his phone but doesn't work because the phone is off. Also, they were not able to use the tracking service on his BMW because it's equipped with older software; however, it may have sent out an analog signal.
