There is a new posting on the Miracle site, taken from a conservative website called Bostonbroadside. It is a message from the Mass. House member who filed the Justina bill last summer, lamenting that nothing has been done to advance it. He lists the phone numbers of all the relevant committee...
Yes, I agree. There could be minimal motion or spasms.
But I am recalling a number of hysterical/theatrical claims by the family that Justina is totally paralyzed below the waist, due entirely to the evil machinations of BCH. IMO, the pool video contradicts those claims.
"I hope that his holiday season brings some measure of healing to the Pelletier family, and real diagnosis and treatment to Justina" -- Annahanna
I hope so too, and I am sure all the Websleuthers, even those who are angriest at the family, wish nothing but better health for Justina and maybe...
As always, Annahanna provides us with some good and useful information. And yes, there have been horse therapy organizations in the West Hartford area for some time. I hope they are helping Justina in some way, but IMO, her problem is one of refusal to walk rather than a physical inability to do...
It's certainly good that Justina is getting out, getting some exercise and having some fun. But I wonder how riding, or even just sitting, on a horse jibes with the family's claims that she has some kind of lower body paralysis.
Thanks for this info, AnaTeresa. IMO, you are right about it being a motion to dismiss, not a court order. The family and its lawyers have played the system for years with motions for delay and other obstructionist tactics in both the bankruptcy and foreclosure cases. Apparently they hope to...
Good question. Not sure if these notations mean case has been dismissed or the Pelletiers are just requesting a dismissal. Or what these, also dated 12/1, indicates: Objection to Debtor's Claim of Exemptions and Denying - Contested Matter Procedure.
Are there any Websleuthers with legal...
The Miracle site also posted a fairly evenhanded Boston Globe profile of Dr. Alice Newton, the head of the Mass General's child-protection unit, who has been involved in some controversial cases. The Pelletier supporters' comments, of course, are not even-handed. One particularly vicious...
I just listened, and it is a maddening interview. No mention that Justina could have left BCH a year sooner if the family had
not fought it. No mention that Justina had issues with walking BEFORE the BCH stay. Confusing statements: she cannot walk or stand by herself, but is doing horseback...
And she is not using the NG tube. Perhaps the last hospitalization fixed some or all of her ongoing intestinal problems. It's nice to see her looking like a happy teenager.
More news from the Miracle site: Justina is now out of the hospital and back home in West Hartford. As usual, no details on which hospital it was or what was wrong or what lies ahead for Justina. Whatever it was, it took a week to deal with it.
News alert! The Miracle site posted today that Justina is not feeling well and is back in the hospital, but no other details as to where or why. Maybe goofing around with Rev. Mahoney was not such a good idea.
That post is followed by a long one by their friend Becky Rangel, pretty hysterical...
Could be. Hope not; as it sounds like that would be really painful and pretty gross. I went back to the site and saw the posting about the infection -- wish I knew what the source of that poster's question was. I'm also wondering what has become of the formerly adored Dr. Korson. The last time I...
Good question! I have seen no details on what kind or surgery it was on the Miracle site or anywhere on the web, or news about any adverse effects, such as an infection. And did you notice she is still using an NG tube, after all this time? Reading the Miracle site these days is like stepping...
Meant to include in my last post:
Justina is now 17 so that "medically fragile child" excuse will run out when she turns 18, IMO. And according to earlier posts on this site, they have only until mid-Feb 2016 to file that long-rumored lawsuit that all their supporters believe will be filed...
Far as I can tell, the foreclosure is still on hold. It's been threatened and then postponed many times over the past 8years or so. A hearing was scheduled for this August, which then was moved to Sept or Oct, and now is scheduled for April 14 2016. A long while back, rumors swirled that some...
I can't find anything new on their preforeclosure or bankruptcy procedings, which keep getting kicked forward. Do you have new links? Would love to see them!
IMO, Liberty may have convinced Davis she would reap donations, book deals, etc. But I don't think that is happening. It will be interesting to watch this play out. I believe Liberty was also deeply involved with the Terri Schiavo case, and they lost all their legal challenges in that mess, too.
Those of you who may be following the saga of the Kentucky clerk who is now in jail for refusing to obey repeated court orders to issue marriage licenses to all applicants, straight or gay, may have noticed that Kim Davis' legal counsel is none other than Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel, the...
The status conference concerning the pending foreclosure that was slated for 7/21 has now been moved to 8/27.
No, make that 4/14/16.
The Pelletiers are the grand masters of postponement.
Some sort of new bankruptcy declaration is also listed on...
