    Tom Cruise is a nutjob!!!

Did anyone else see the latest Oprah interview with Tom, and his Colorado home? It was a few weeks ago. One thing really struck me - Oprah asked him how he gets along with Nicole, and whether the kids can see her. And he said it was fine, and the kids can see her anytime, but he seemed tense...

    Oprah balks at Hosting Palin

What "topic" are you trying to stay on? You have taken this thread so far off topic as to be laughable. I won't engage with someone who clearly has a bone to pick. Like Saffron (who, by the way, did an admirable job putting into context your ridiculous assertions), I am outta here.

Feel free to discuss whatever you like. It makes for an amusing show.

    Oprah balks at Hosting Palin

You probably need to think twice before opening the discussion of "which party has committed the most heinous sins." I think we all know that people on both sides of the aisle have done bad and/or stupid things.

Great post, Eve, and I agree completely.

    Oprah balks at Hosting Palin

In this day of 24/7 coverage, the line between news and entertainment is so blurry as to be unreadable. On "news channels" you have "news shows" and you also have "talk shows" where opinion is expressed. Viewers often don't discern the difference. People really need to take more...

    Oprah balks at Hosting Palin

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/ The reports are all over the place, not just drudge, although, as is often the case, they were the first to come out with this. Oprah speaks out of both sides of her mouth. She doesn't want to have any candidates on during the campaign, yet she has had...

Ummm -it's only been two days, and she has been kind of busy with a convention.

    Oprah balks at Hosting Palin

It's her talk show - she can do what she wants. So can I - I don't need to watch a biased show like hers.

    Nancy, the runner

Hi everyone, I have been running for over 20 years, and I often run without taking anything with me. It just depends on the purpose of the run. I know mileage markers all around where I run since I have been running in the area for so many years. Hope that helps!

GUILTY Canada - Paul Bernardo & Karla Homolka, murdered, 1993

She does look pretty hard, doesn't she? The very fact that she had a child shows the selfishness with which she lives her life, it's all about what she wants, isn't it? I feel for that poor kid, can you imagine what it will be like for him when he is able to read about and understand what his...

    TN - Chris Newsom, 23, & Channon Christian, 21, murdered, Knoxville, 6 Jan 2007 #1

I, too, am baffled by the lack of coverage of this crime. Maybe it is all about ratings? It could be this crime is so horrible that they worry most people will turn the channel rather than hear what this couple went through. I personally don't care about it being a hate crime - I don't...

    Television Star Exits Scientology

I am curious to know how he got out of it. Kudos to him for speaking out. But even listening to him speak of it and the terms they use, it sounds so completely far-fetched and off the wall, it sounds like a really bad space alien movie. How do people get sucked into that?

    TN - Chris Newsom, 23, & Channon Christian, 21, murdered, Knoxville, 6 Jan 2007 #1

I think you are right, every time I hear a new detail about this case, the sheer horror of it just overwhelms me. I can hardly think of a worse way to die then what these two went through. I just hope they both went into shock and maybe weren't completely aware of what was happening to them...

NC - MacDonald family murders at Fort Bragg, 1970 - Jeffrey MacDonald innocent?

The last time I fully looked into this case, I was convinced of his guilt, but is has been a while. As far as a motive goes, I have heard he was tired of having a family, liked to have affairs, etc. Also, I believe I heard at one point there was some conjecture that perhaps Collette walked in...
