GUILTY AL - Jack Girdner, 73, & DeJerinett twins, 9, found murdered, Hope Hull, 3 June 2012

Looking at the map, the area described in the WAKA CBS8 article is near the man's home. (OT...I need to figure out how to post a map from an IPAD.)

I am not completely convinced it is the same case, either. It would be coincidental, though, if it was not. WSFA FAcebook page administrator commented about 20 minutes ago that there was no new information and they would continue to follow closely. BTW, he/she is trying hard to keep the...

Yes, they are. This is breaking news obviously. I read that two of the news stations would be onsite in Lowndes County for the 10:00 PM news. So far, nothing published on their websites.

Hope Hull is only a few miles south of Montgomery. The comment could have meant there is no evidence they were taken out of the Montgomery area. Hoping they will clarify.

GUILTY MS - Linda Reed for embezzlement, Copiah County, 2012

Even though I am not a local and do not know any of the people mentioned, including Mrs. Reed, I have wondered, from the beginning about the statements made by the co-workers the Sunday night she was last seen. They (who are they?) said Mrs. Reed stated she was going back to Walmart to get some...

OT The thanks button was just not enough. Thank you, NancyDrew2, for expressing how the tight knit community is embracing the family with love and concern. I grew up in a small, rural town and I remember a time when an upstanding citizen embezzled then skipped the country. He was eventually...

GUILTY MS - Linda Reed for embezzlement, Copiah County, 2012

So much for investigative reporting these days. Embezzling and/or running away appear to be speculation at this point. I wonder who gave the WLBT reporter that idea? Also, I believe the report to be inaccurate when stating LR was last heard from at Walmart. Sloppy reporting, to say the...

I am still in the camp of involuntary disappearance and am praying she is still alive.

I thought the same thing, but now think there may be an error in the news article at WAPT. Listening again to the WAPT video broadcast on same date, reporter says it has been hard on the family in the last two weeks. This video was broadcast on 5-12-2012, roughly two weeks after Linda Reed...

GUILTY MS - Linda Reed for embezzlement, Copiah County, 2012

Thank you, Copiahtown for your local take on the situation. As you suggested, I went back to the local news media and found that Linda Reed's current husband, James Reed, has spoken to the media...

I can't explain why it struck me odd that the wife spoke first, it just did. I see your point also, that it would be her business, too. I do not think Mrs. Reed's current husband has spoken to the press at all.

GUILTY MS - Linda Reed for embezzlement, Copiah County, 2012

I think you've summed it up nicely, and questioned the unknown or should I say, unpublished information. As sleuther missingm mentioned earlier, I also find it odd that the owner's wife spoke to the press earlier than the owner himself. Does anyone know if they live in the same town as their...

Neither have I. There was an inference made by Moore, the company owner, in a Clarion news article that they were dealing with the federal government and didn't know if they were going to owe back taxes or not.

GUILTY MS - Linda Reed for embezzlement, Copiah County, 2012

IMO, LR's abduction is not related to the MS highway shootings. There are not any MSM articles to support the theory. It is not clear if LR actually made a second trip to Walmart, even if that were her intentions. Unless a second trip is verified, I believe we have to use the 9 PM phone call...
