CO CO - Kelsey Berreth, 29, Woodland Park, Teller County, 22 Nov 2018 - #17 *ARREST*

I'm happy the judge denied LE's attempt to enforce a gag order. They have a lot of explaining to do surrounding their initial response to Kelsey's disappearance. Starting out with why they misled the public that PF was cooperating when he wasn't. Sad how its come to this. LE requesting gag...

I like how you think. Good post. We'll see how it unfolds.

Yeah he adores his daughter so much that when her mother turns up missing he hires a lawyer and won't speak with the police. Dad of the year!

Nope nobody knows. Nothing even remotely negative is being leaked out about PF. For some reason this guy is clean as a whistle. Things that make you go hmmmm......

Makes perfect sense. Whats to argue about that?

Notice how LE purposely leaves out who PF made the statement too. The reader is to believe the statement was made to the police and relaying this information to the general public via the statement. Keep this information in the back of your mind. I have a feeling its going to come into play as...

<modsnip>My point was there may be a blue line at play for the original investigators who informed the public PF was cooperating. So I wasn't saying the police were incompetent or that I know better than the police. <modsnip>

Who said the FBI refuses to help when asked????

There is an old saying, "you can lead a horse to water but ya cant make him drink". Instead of further derailing this thread I simply invite all to read what I wrote and decide for themselves who's operating under speculation and misconception.

Thank you for the well written response. What you posted makes a lot of sense. I would never advocate nor do I see others on this board advocate the release of material evidence in a case. When they do it gets pointed out rather quickly. The police work for us. It isnt about what they want...

Yes I saw the posts. I just think they are wrong. The FBI by law got involved in this case when her cell phone pinged in Idaho. Thats not speculation. That happens each and every time there is evidence of interstate crime. Again that is the LAW of our country not speculation. Secondly, the first...

Oh sorry, FBI only gets involved in crimes against children, serial killers, terrorism, and interstate crime. KB's cell phone pinging off an out of state tower makes it interstate crime.

Yes of course. That is what helps build probable cause. They obviously have something otherwise they wouldn't have towed his car away. But if you're telling the public PF is cooperating then someone who may have seen PF and KB in the truck together on thanksgiving may not come forward in helping...

Why dont we know more? Thats a serious question. Is there a reason we dont know more about these two? Seems like the family has been told the less information out there the better. That runs contrary to every missing person case I've ever heard about. Of course you dont want to give...

It doesnt. You just keep going where the facts lead you. A judge approved a sealed warrant to search PF's property and his truck. A warrant must be based on reliable information showing probable cause. Meaning the police need to show a judge the evidence they have that leads them to believe a...

SPOT ON!!! PF has every legal right to act in the bizarre fashion as he has. But he is violating the social contract we all have with our fellow citizens. Perfectly legal but creates enormous social consequences. Just ask O.J. about violating a social contract. What really bothers me is how LE...

It was a real ping. Otherwise the FBI would not be involved in the search of PF's property. The only thing bringing them in at this stage is if the crime crossed state lines. If it was a false ping you wouldn't see the FBI

I totally agree. He is innocent. Until proven otherwise. But here's the thing, there are consequences for acting like an a-hole during an investigation like this. They are not legal but social. But for the last 2 weeks local LE has protected him from the social consequences by not informing the...

Because he fears he will be wrongly implicated in a crime he did not commit. Lets say for example he's interviewed and he tells LE he spent all day Friday and Saturday on his ranch. Then an eye witness comes forward and says they saw him with a shovel in his hand at the city dump on Saturday...
